Nestled in a secluded area, this charming home is easily accessible by car and offers a peaceful, private atmosphere—perfect for a relaxing holiday surrounded by nature. We've preserved its unique character, including its status as a low-tech environment, to provide a tranquil escape. Just a short walk away, you'll find the famous cycling path, ideal for leisurely walks or bike rides through the stunning countryside.
This historic house has been lovingly restored and furnished to offer a unique experience in a rustic setting. On the ground floor, you'll find a cozy living area with an open-plan kitchen, perfect for preparing delicious meals with fresh ingredients sourced from a nearby farm. The ground floor also includes a bathroom and a small storage area, ideal for keeping your belongings organized during your stay.
Head up to the romantic mezzanine, where you'll find a double bed under exposed wooden beams that create a warm and charming atmosphere. The true gem of this accommodation is the private garden, a haven of tranquility where you can unwind in the shade of the trees, enjoy outdoor meals, or simply read a book accompanied by the soothing sounds of birdsong. The garden also features a private parking space on the lawn.
The rustic home is part of a larger farmhouse complex, which includes three apartments— Luna , Fieno , and Girasole —all available for short-term rental. While the apartments share a large, fenced space, each one is independent with its own outdoor areas.
You’ll be fully immersed in nature here. Just a few meters from the property runs the famous Valsassina cycle path, perfect for exploring on foot or by bike. Along the way, you can:

A Few Notes Before You Arrive:

Digital Detox Experience: The house does not have Wi-Fi or a TV by choice, offering guests the chance to disconnect and unwind. However, if you can't live without wi-fi, we can provide a portable router on request.
Rustic Charm: While the house has been renovated, it’s still an old stone home. Its rustic nature means it might not be for everyone—don’t be alarmed if you encounter a friendly spider or two visiting from the surrounding nature, or if your shoes will get wet after reaching the house in a rainy day on grass :)
Occasional Noise: The Pratobuscante area, just 500 meters away, sometimes hosts events that could generate a bit of noise. Key events include the Sagra delle Sagre in mid-August and the Country Festival in late September. This makes the house a perfect choice for event-goers, but those seeking total tranquility might want to avoid these times of the year.
Heating: The house does not have central heating. During mid-season periods, we provide electric heaters to ensure a comfortable stay.

Whether you're here to unwind, explore nature, or attend local events, Il Giardino Segreto is a unique retreat that embraces simplicity and authenticity. . City Tax: You do not have to pay tourist city tax. Tourist tax: The municipality where you will be staying does not require the payment of a Tourist Tax. . Check-in: Check-in at the property is allowed only after all guests have been registered and the contract has been signed. The standard check-in window is from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM; guests are kindly requested to send a message at least 12 hours in advance, specifying a 30-minute time slot for their expected arrival.  
For late check-in, availability must be confirmed by sending a request to the House Manager.  
Where available, guests may opt for self check-in; however, in this case, they must contact the property to arrange an in-person meeting within the following 24 hours. .
