Nybyggt fräscht hotell, 10 min gångväg från järnvägsstationen, en bit från centrum, men med 2 bra spårvagnslinjer. Bra frukost som ingick i priset. Det enda negativa var att jag fick ett rum med utsikt rakt in i ett annat hus.

Der Check In war nicht sehr freundlich, sondern kühl und geschäftsmässig. Das Hotel ist ruhig, das Bett sehr bequem, das Frühstück gut. ABER: Ich habe den ganzen Abend gefroren, es herrschten bestimmt nur etwa 17 Grad im Zimmer. Wahrscheinlich war die Klimaanlage kaputt. Bin dreimal zur Réception gegangen und es wurde mir ein Heizkörper versprochen. Der war aber um 22.30h immer noch nicht da. Das war eine wirklich üble Erfahrung. Immerhin hat mir die Dame an der Réception anderntags ein Getränk offeriert.

Die Angestellten waren sehr nett, jedoch bekam ich keine guten Auskünfte bzgl. Restaurants in der Nähe und Wegbeschreibungen.-- Das Zimmer war sehr kalt. Am nächsten Tag wurde die Heizung hochgestellt. Es war immer noch kalt, die Aircon bliess nicht warm. Im Flur dagegen war es angenehm warm. - Die Zimmer sind farblich in grau/anthrazit gehalten, der krasse ernüchternde Gegensatz dazu, was das Foto der farbigen Lobby verspricht.

Great option in Basel
We stayed for 1 night to attend the Swiss Indoors tournament. The hotel staff were very helpful, the room was very nice (although the bathroom door which was 2 sliding doors) did not close completely leaving a small gap, the breakfast offered a wide variety of choices (including healthy options), and the location was central to our needs. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a mid range option in a central location, particularly if you like to walk.

It was a nice hotel, good rooms, good service. It took ~15mins to walk to it with a suitcase from the train station and was close enough to walk to most of the tourist sights. A good choice for the price point.

Too warm, otherwise nice.
Alles was eigenlijk heel goed - service, uitstraling, inrichting, netheid - totdat we de gang en toen de kamer instapte. Het was onmogelijk om de verwarming of laag of uit te zetten, dus we hebben heel de tijd zitten zweten. Slapen was al niet plezierig en dit heeft helaas een slechte indruk achtergelaten, zeker omdat het ook zo slecht is voor het milieu.
