The staff were all so friendly and helpful and little touches made our stay very memorable such as a glass of prosecco on arrival and a card and some chocolates in my room for my birthday. We stayed in a Club room which was very spacious. We ate in the dining room which was pricey but the food was exquisite so worth the money. “Room was spacious but facing parking which came as a surprise. Breakfast and dinner options are good. Pool facilities are good. First breakfast only one person doing everything who was stressed and abrupt and complained so out loud. The other morning there were more staff so ok. In general staff are helpful and the stay was pleasant. ”

“It’s the perfect stay to stop just off the M6 when driving from Scotland to England. It’s a beautifully decorated pub, with lovely staff and excellent breakfast and dinner. This time our ferry was cancelled from Mull and so we had to change the booking at the last moment. They were understanding and there was no problem rolling over the booking until we could get off the island. We will be forever loyal to this wonderful stop just south of Penrith. ”
