“I very much enjoyed the time at Breakwater Motel (Paihia), during my stay there (4 nights in the beginning of January 2014). Paihia may be a turbulent place this time of year, but this hotel is located in a little bit more silent area (still close to the center, which is just a 2-3 minute walk away). It is pet friendly, there were other people in campers and RVs who had dogs with them. The owners also had a friendly little fur baby who was one of the highlights of our interactions with them.
