This a tale of the difference between a B&B and a premium hotel. Though you may think this is an unfair comparison, it is meant to allow future visitors an objective and factual picture of what to expect. First, the location is excellent, you can walk to everything in town. And the owner did her best to make for a pleasant stay. The room was of good size, furnishing seemed a bit dated and while functional were not particularly comfortable. The bed was hard as a rock. There was no closet instead hooks and clothes racks on the wall. The separate toilet space was very small, think airline size. The only way to close the toilet door was to stand next to toilet with your back against the wall and then and only then could the door be closed. Bath towels (2) were on the small size and there was but one hand towel. Stairs to upper floor rooms were located outside and were fairly steep. One room has the bathroom on yet a second level reached by what could be considered a cross between a ladder and stairs. Definitely appropriate for only the fit and agile. Breakfast consisted of a small basket of bread and croissants. Also available was plain yogurt, several homemade breakfast pastries and homemade jam. Coffee and tea was also available. I was not aware of any cappuccino or espresso. In summary, the location was very good, the rooms were clean, and the basic necessities were covered - barely. If you want more than that you need to find a premium hotel.
