The Cottage

Welcome to the Cottage at Pecan Point, a private Lowcountry cottage tucked away beneath mature live oaks and Spanish moss on the historic grounds of Pecan Point.

The peaceful setting feels removed from the busier parts of Beaufort, while still keeping you approximately 10 minutes from both Historic Downtown Beaufort and Parris Island. Whether you're visiting for a Marine Corps graduation, a weekend in Beaufort, or simply looking for a quiet Lowcountry getaway, the cottage gives you your own private place to relax.

Bedroom

The spacious bedroom features two queen beds and comfortably accommodates up to four guests. This setup works especially well for couples, small families, friends traveling together, and Marine Corps graduation visits.

Living Area

The comfortable living room provides a separate place to relax after a day exploring Beaufort or visiting Parris Island. A Smart TV is provided for evenings at home.

Kitchen

The cottage includes a full kitchen with a stove and oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, sink, dishes and cups. Prepare breakfast before heading out, keep snacks and drinks on hand, or enjoy a simple meal at the cottage.

Private Outdoor Space

One of the best parts of the cottage is the setting.

Step outside to your private yard beneath the live oaks, where you'll find a fire pit and BBQ area for relaxing outdoors. Spanish moss, mature trees and the historic surroundings create the classic Lowcountry atmosphere Beaufort is known for.

A Piece of Beaufort History

Pecan Point occupies the original farm site associated with historic Pickpocket Plantation, with the main historic home dating to around 1890. The property retains elements of its agricultural past, including mature pecan trees and traditional farm buildings.

The cottage gives guests an opportunity to stay within this distinctive historic setting while enjoying the privacy of a separate home.

Privacy

The entire cottage is private to your group, with its own driveway and designated outdoor space.

The historic main house is a separate vacation rental elsewhere on the property. Barns, agricultural areas, other buildings and private portions of the property are not included in the cottage rental or guest-access areas.

Close to Parris Island & Downtown Beaufort

Parris Island is approximately 10 minutes away, making the cottage a convenient home base for Marine Corps graduation weekends, Family Day and visits with loved ones.

Historic Downtown Beaufort is also approximately 10 minutes away, with easy access to Bay Street, the waterfront, restaurants, shops and historic sites.
