  • Ta dig bort till en orörd miljö, en plats som har varit praktiskt taget orörd och orörd, det vill säga Beaver Island. Vår stuga (Kelly's Point) ligger 40 meter från Lake Michigan på en 2 tunnland stor paket. Utsikten över Lake Michigan och Fox Islands är fantastisk!

    Att ta sig till Beaver Island: Det första stoppet är Charlevoix, MI, en hamnstad i Lake Michigan som ligger cirka 250 mil norr om Detroit. Du kan också flyga till Pelston eller Traverse City flygplatser och ansluta till Beaver Island Ferry eller Island Airways i Charlevoix. Från Charlevoix ta en snabb 20 minuters flygning eller 2 timmars lugn färjetur på Emerald Isle. Hur som helst, det är ett fantastiskt äventyr!

    När du anländer till ön hittar du en plats som tar dig tillbaka i tiden. Långsam, tålamod, vänlig och vacker! Du kanske vill stanna vid Shamrock för en dryck efter färjan eller ta den natursköna 20 minuters körningen rakt ut till Kelly's Point. Avståndet mäts av tiden på ön, de flesta vägar har inte banats ... det är bara ett annat sätt att få dig att sakta ner!

    När du når Kelly's Point är enheten in genom en trädbevuxen väg till ett stort öppet område med spridda träd längs omkretsen. Kelly's Point byggdes först på 1930-talet som en original östuga. Det är under modernisering. Det finns en fungerande inomhustoalett, utomhusdusch, diskbänk och el. Kelly's Point är mycket charmig med spektakulär utsikt över Lake Michigan. Det är 900 kvm. fötter, har en fantastisk veranda och en underbar strand. Alla möbler är nya eller lokala antikviteter. Det är hyresgästers ansvar att ta med egna lakan och handdukar. Kelly's Point har en charmig inredning med en öppen layout med 11 fönster med utsikt över Lake Michigan. Det finns ett sovrum med 2 enkelsängar. Det är en perfekt bortflykt för 2 personer!
    Du kan njuta av en bra bok med utsikt över Lake Michigan, promenera miles av sandstrand som är klar, orörd och fri, ta ett dopp i det klara sjön vattnet, utforska ön och över 100 miles av vägar, fisk på en av de 5 inlandet sjöar, steka marshmallows i eldstaden på stranden, beundra den stora mängden stjärnor, upptäck några av de andra öarna i Archipelego, besök spaet för en massage, spela nio på Beaver golfbana, lounge på uteplatsen, cocktails vid Nina's, Donnegal Bay för att njuta av solnedgången, besök CMU Biologiska centrum eller de två fyrarna på ön, Little Sand Bay, Iron Ore Bay eller helt enkelt göra ingenting! Detta är en semester du aldrig kommer att glömma och lämna känslan verkligen utvilad.

We loved our stay at Kelly’s Point! The little cabin was everything we’d hoped it’d be and more. It was clean, well stocked and so dang charming. The views, the stars, the peace- it’s a week we won’t ever forget. Gerry was SO helpful with all our pre trip questions and made check in and directions so easy. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

A perfect getaway

This cabin is the perfect getaway! We celebrated our 10th anniversary here and couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and beautiful place to stay. We loved the rustic atmosphere and only wish we could have stayed longer!

Great cabin! Waking up every morning with the lake view out from the window is the most perfect thing in the world! Tim and I loved sitting out on the porch and just taking in the scenery. The whole island has lots to see and lots to explore. We loved the hiking trails, protars cabin, the cute town, and the restaurants with it's delicious meals! And I genuinely loved using the VHS/VCR player in the cabin. I haven't used one of those in years! One night we were relaxing on the couch with the warmth of the fireplace, enjoying a hot cup of tea and watching 'grumpy old men. It was perfect! Thank you for letting us stay in your cabin for a few nights!

Beaver Island Cabin

We had a wonderful time staying at Kellys Point. Its like camping but you have electricity and a real toilet. Bring everything you need, including bottled water for drinking and cooking. Overall we loved it!

Perfect honeymoon get away

Everything was amazing and comfortable and relaxing, only “issues” was a giant spider we came across in the bathroom plus all the little flies and spiders everywhere else but for a cabin on the water in beaver island it’s pretty much spotless

Idyllic romantic get away

Cozy, rustic cottage right on the water. Secluded and quiet aside from the sound of the waves on water and the wind. Warm fireplace inside and fresh crisp air off the water flowing through the windows if you wish. Simply beautiful, relaxing, and special. Loved it, thank you!

Cabin on the lake.

This is definitely an old cabin. Takes you back in time. If you want peace and quiet Then this is the place to be. Seen a few snakes and the mosquitoes were kind of rough but I would definitely go back.

Lovely little break from society in your very rustic piece of paradise. It's only a 1/2 bath as there is no shower or bath facility. When you say bring towels we naturally assumed bath towels not kitchen. Lol. Great experience .

We were suppose to stay at Kelly's Point but received a call from the owners that there was a Snake problem so they would have to place us at their private residence on the Island which was Eagles Nest. It was beautiful! Log cabin on the lake with kayaks and bikes to use! It was Private and quiet! It could have used a good dusting and cleaning but very nice!

Beautiful location

This was our 3rd year staying here and we have never been disappointed! It's a spectacular place to stay. There's so much rustic charm in the place. You see so much wildlife and the sunrises are beautiful. The entire island is like going back in time. There's not a single thing we would change. The owners are great as well. Our power went out and I messaged them to see if they could find out when it would be back on and they responded quickly. It ended up coming right back on though. We are already planning our trip for next year!!

Although the location of this cabin is spectacular, each day (and upon first entering) we had to deal with water snakes. This was unsettling to say the least. We paid for 4 nights but only stayed 2. In all I had to deal with 5 snakes over our brief stay.

Weekend birdwatching

This cabin was perfect for our weekend birdwatching trip to Beaver Island. We actually had many birds right at the cabin! Although we were in "high bug season" the screens on all the windows allowed us to open everything up and enjoy the crisp spring air and the sound of the waves on the beach. This cabin is rustic, exactly as the advertising says, but is clean and has everything you will need. Keep in mind, there is no place for groceries, etc on the south end of the island. Make a stop at the one grocery store on the island in town before you drive to the cabin. We enjoyed the weekend here so much as did our pup, Maddie!

31 year anniversary

Well it definitely was off the grid. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We both loved the log cabin atmosphere. The outside shower was awesome 😎. The only drawback was the stones on the beach in front of the cabin. We thought it was a beach with no stones. We had to find beaches to go to. The best one was iron ore Bay. OMG it is the most beautiful beach I've ever seen!! Quiet, clean, clear crisp water. It truly was heaven on earth. Only thing is the flies were horrendous. I'd anyone has some sort of glue, sticky stuff or whatever to repel the flies put it on!! Deep woods off didn't work at all. Actually flies everywhere. West wind helps to keep the flies away. We had a bon fire one night. Very Nice. Make sure to bring your own DVDs with you to watch at night. I read 2 800 page books during the time we were there. Kept the windows open at night. Moon is beautiful shimmering on the lake. Make sure to keep screen doors closed to keep the bugs out. Lots of snakes but never bothered us. After the first day we didn't see any snakes on the property. We went golfing, saw the toy museum, went to the gift shops, shamrocks was great for food. We left paper towels and Kleenex there for the next people. One peice of very important advice. We are to vacuum the place before we left. The vacuum container has not been emptied in I don't know how long. My husband has to empty it twice. Please make sure that anyone coming to stay in the future to please empty the vacuum container before and after you vacuum. Otherwise we couldn't have had a better time. It was my little piece of heaven on earth
