Relaxing Getaway with that UP North Feel!

Spring is almost here and everything in Michigan is BEAUTIFUL when the sunshine and warmer weather arrives!!
Take a ride while at the cabin in your vehicle or bring up your side by side and admire Northern Michigan's beauty. Do a little shopping, check out a winery, a minor league baseball game or test your luck at a nearby Casino! If that doesn't sound great, we assure you that your stay will be equally as relaxing in the cozy and quiet log cabin style home relaxing inside by the fireplace or outside on the large deck, front porch or next to the fire pit.

Enjoy your stay up north Michigan on Wixom Lake. This home features an open layout with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. We think you will be elated to find all you need in the fully stocked kitchen and we pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our cabin. Enjoy the bonus side lot for family fun, yard games or sitting around a bonfire roasting marshmallows. Cabin sleeps up to 8 people in beds with two Queen-Sized beds in the Master bedroom along with a full bed in each of the other two bedrooms. There is an additional Queen-sized air mattress with bedding also available if necessary and an oversized couch.

There are many close lakes/rivers for kayaking and fishing close by. There are also 1000's of acres of state land for riding side by sides, hunting or hiking!

Centrally Located. Saganing Eagles Casino (Standish) 30 minutes away. Soaring Eagle Casino (Mount Pleasant) 50 Minutes away. Downtown Midland and Gladwin are 20 Minutes away. West Branch Outlet Mall is 35 minutes.

You don’t have to leave your pets at home. Please note max of two and it’s a $95.00 additional fee per pet at booking.

Guests can use complimentary Wi-Fi. Password is provided at the cabin.

Note: Wixom Lake is currently drained due to flooding and the dam collapsing in 2020. The river is approximately 100 yards out from the seawall.

The cabin was more than we could have hoped for. So clean and comfortable, very well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Comfy beds and furniture. And so peaceful out on the back deck. 4 of us ladies on our annual girl's trip were pleasantly surprised by all the little extras that were waiting for us. Definitely would go back again. Rebeca was so easy to get ahold of and communicate with. It was an excellent experience for sure.

Nice place with lots of room.

Friends Get Together

We rented this lovely cabin for a friends get together weekend. There were 3 families consisting of 5 adults and 3 kids/teens plus a golden retriever. I thought it might be small for this many people, but it was perfect. The sectional couch was ample space for us to sit and chat. We also enjoyed the large deck in the evenings and the kids (and adults) had fun roasting marshmellows over the campfire. We bought wood locally, but the neighbor stopped over to tell us we could use the wood on the property. The master bedroom is very large. The other 2 are smaller but fit our needs. The cabin was clean and tastefully decorated. The owner, Rebecca, is very pleasant and responsive. We would definitely atay again.

Our sons wedding.

Our son got married at Crooked River Wedding venue in Gladwin. I chose this over a motel so we could cook some meals ourselves and relax in a quiet spot when we weren’t doing wedding things. This was clean comfortable and well stocked. Thank you, Laura Sweeney.

Cozy cabin with nice touches

Nice cabin with lots of space and a nice outdoor deck. It is as clean, well stocked, and I closed several nice touches like popcorn for us! We appreciate that they allow pets. The beds were nice and had a large tv.

Cabin Christmas

We spend a Cabin Christmas for years. We have 7 adults 1 17 year old. Found the place, got in, and looked pretty good. It only has a table for 4 people. We have 8. Sleeps 8, assume you can eat with 8 people. So looking around the towel bars in both bathrooms are off the wall. The main bathroom, toilet paper holder comes off, real loose. Then went to start fire place, ( gas ) does NOT work. Called owner in Florida, and he stated he also has issues with it. ( FIX IT ).. NO TV shows. He also stated you needed to use your own Netflix, Prime, or something to make it run. I am 78 years old, I expected to turn on TV and I could watch news. The U of M football game playing that night, I could NOT get it in, as my account did not show U of M, and I had to sign in to get Peacock, but it would NOT allow it, so we watced the GAMe with a PHONE. He also stated there was a blow up bed in closet, he must have never looked in there. Yes it was there wadded up in a pile in a big bin, with dirty sheets to go over it. I found it after I dug through the mess in the closet. Luckily, I brought one and a sleeping bag. The rest of the closet was a mess. The washer and dryer closet door would not close as the machines protruded into the room. My granddaughter, went in maind bath, the shower door on the left was dangling, I had to rehang the door. Later, as we were sitting around doing games, daughter dropped phone inbetween the couches. Granddaughter got on the floor, cam out

Nice cabin!

Cellular service was almost nonexistent, which made the check in process through VRBO difficult as well as trying to contact the owner. The cabin was was clean and spacious. There was some electrical and internet issues but that didn’t stop us from having a good weekend with family from out of state!

Beautiful gathering place

We had a wonderful weekend visit to see our youngest daughters family. The cabin was so cozy and inviting that they actually came to visit us and watch football by the fire. Wonderful hosts, who were very helpful and kind. Definitely will stay again!

Relaxing

It was a wonderful place to stay, but Im sure would of been even more wonderful if the lake was there ( says will be back 2025)... Very quiet an peaceful... Rooms were nice ( would been nicer if the master bedroom had a king size bed, only cos I'm use to that)... Thank you for having us, was a great place to unwind from 96/120 some work weeks... Vicki
