“Under new ownership has the kitchen open to guests at all hours. NIce tho some guests cook and dont wash their dishes and no one on site to supervise it.
I put way dishes from the staff baking muffins early in the day and wiped counters and tied up a full to the brim garbage can.
I like the access to kitchen and common area but not if area is not monitored.
Room was clean as usual and comfortable and well decorated. NO hot water for morning shower in upstairs room tho.”
“We had a whole cottage with a spa bath and a separate bedroom to ourselves. The bed was comfortable! Besides a few splatters on the wall in the kitchenette area and the bathroom, this place was CLEAN. We loved sitting on the "porch" (had two chairs and a small table) and take in the environment with the beautiful flower beds. Breakfast was lovely (real mugs!) with two exceptions. The hot water for e.g. tea had slight taste of coffee, i.e. the thermoses for hot water only and coffee were not kept...
“Even though the staff was very polite, I have to say I'm very disappointed with this place.
As soon as we step foot in our room, we wanted to leave. The smell in that room was beyond imaginable.. The property is old, and worn-down. There is paint coming off the wall, big red stains on the carpet, and the smell is the worst of it all. The walls are paper-thin, so we could hear everything happening on the balcony and in other rooms. It kind of ruined our weekend, we were in Bangor for only one...
