Great Place

Up north stay
We had a great time! The property was perfect for our 2 families. The basement set up was great for the kids. The host was very responsive to any of our needs and even checked on us during our stay. The house had everything we needed and was just a few minute walk to the hill. Would definitely recommended this property and would stay here again.

Great valley and ridge views and dark skies
Beautiful place with a great layout and wonderful views! Great location close to slopes and back in the woods. Well decorated, great kitchen and maintained, with enough room for a couple of families to share.

Thanksgiving with family
We really enjoyed our stay. The property was cozy and provided a nice place for our family to gather over the holiday. We enjoyed sitting around the fire and playing board games. Having access to the indoor pool was an extra bonus. The only snafu, was the trash hadn’t been picked up before we arrived, so the bins were full… not the fault of the property owners however.

Wonderful cabin out in the woods

Chalet in the Woods
Our adults weekend at Valley View Lodge was great! The fall colors were peak, the fireplace was cozy with plenty of wood provided, and everyone had their own space spread out across the three-floors. Joe, one of the owners, was very prompt and helpful when we needed additional towels. The only downfall was the cleanliness, which I brought to Joe's attention and he was going to follow up with his cleaning staff.

Gen X get away
Perfect place to welcome the falls colors, and introduce our kids with vintage video and board games with the fireplace aromas took over outside the house. My brother and family from the Philippines experience a different rainy day. Wet and cold. The property was perfect place to chill for few days.

Wonderful spot for a large family to gather!

Relaxing
The property was the perfect size for our family stay. The online description was spot on. We all felt comfortable staying for a long weekend. Our only negative was there was no shampoo or soap for the showers and limited linens for the bathroom and kitchen, definitely nothing that would stop me from staying again.

Great place for a family getaway
With 9 beds of varying sizes, a full kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms, laundry room, and a great deck/firepit, this VRBO was perfect for our family get together. Host communicated well. Community was quiet and close enough to Torch Lake, Traverse City, and Sleeping Bear Dunes for our purposes. Great stay. Good value.

Heaven on earth
Phenomenal. The house was cozy and comfortable. The view from the deck, evenings with a fire, wine and sun going down were magical. We shared it with our 3 adult children, a spouse, two significant others and two golden retrievers. The Shanty Creek area is wonderful. We played 9 rounds of golf on the magnificent courses. We will be back!

Ski-mazing Chalet
We stayed here last year as well. The property is perfect for us, offering plenty of privacy for the teens as well as their own area to have fun. The kitchen is set up with everything. With the slopes just a quick walk away, everyone can enjoy their ski weekend easily!

Fun Family Vacation
Our hosts were very helpful and responsive to our needs. There were 10 of us. With five little ones, it was great having two living areas. As our hosts mentioned in their welcome packet, satellite can be spotty, so having your own hot spot connection is very helpful.

We only had our family of 4 stay here but it could certainly accommodate a larger group. The views were spectacular and the home and amenities were clean and cozy. We really enjoyed our time here and would stay again in a heartbeat!

Absolutely Perfect
Valley View lodge is an ideal destination for all sorts of activities. We have been here in the winter and summer months and never ran out of things to do. The cabin (chalet) is incredible and has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is well stocked and there is a huge dining room table for larger gatherings. The best part of the Valley View lodge is in its' name, The View. It is amazing looking out over hundreds of acres of woods. It's a private oasis in the woods of Northern Michigan.

Doesn't get any better!
This house was great, such an awesome location with amazing views. House was large and cozy with lots of room to hang either upstairs or downstairs. Owners were perfect to deal with and had excellent communication. Joe even texted the first day to make sure everything was going well with the house. I would not hesitate at all to rent this place again.

Michigan Stay
Property was in a quiet, secluded area. Cell phone signal and internet signal are very spotty so beware if you’re someone who needs to be connected to their phone or likes to watch tv (didn’t bother us much). House feels spacious. We did have a major water leak our first day there (pipes under the sink were not connected and garbage disposal was disconnected). We called the property owner who asked if we could fix it ourselves. Luckily my husband was able to reconnect the pipes but there was water all over the kitchen floor and down the basement wall because of this. Rough start for just arriving. Property owner has a guide with local restaurants, and activities which came in handy. Huge supply of towels and wash cloths that feel like hotel quality. The kitchen is well stocked with every utensil/item you could possibly need. We noticed lots of little touches that made it feel like home. Overall, we would stay again

Home away from Home
This is just the most beautiful home we've ever stayed in! My husband and I got together with our two sons, their spouses and one granddaughter. The layout worked out perfectly. We each had our own floor and bathroom. Because I have one knee that doesn't care for stairs any more, It was wonderful to be able to walk from the car into the main living area with an adjoining lovely bedroom and bathroom without climbing any stairs at all. The decor was perfection! I'd call it rustic but modern. You could tell everything was new but with a very cozy cabin feel. Even our adult kids were oohing and aahing at everything. So many creative and unique touches everywhere. I want to also say this home is the best equipped, best stocked, most 'like home' place we've ever been to. They have thought of, and supplied, everything a guest might need. Oh, the view!! Incredible!! You can see for a mile, looking down into a valley at nothing but nature. It's super quiet and dark at night. What a extraordinary treat! We'll be back for sure!

A relaxing mountain retreat
I can not begin to say enough good things about our stay in Bellaire. The hosts kept in touch with us and gave a ton of pointers on where to go for food and fun etc. The town of Bellaire itself was really cute and had plenty of good food and terrific brewery in Shorts. We only brought our kids (and they allowed for our pet too) so one full bedroom went unused. Two families with kids would still have plenty of room. The main level is perfect for adult relaxing with a fireplace and kitchen and the downstairs has a den with tabletop video game our kids loved. They would've stayed down there the whole trip. The baths especially on the main level were very nice as were the furnishings etc. Even the bath towels were nice and fluffy. It is exactly what we wanted and was so isolated (even though there are neighbors) it felt like you were farther in the wilderness than we were. The only "drawback" was the Internet was definitely slow so streaming shows on anything but netflix was tough. BUT we were there to get away from tech so not a huge deal. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Beautiful view and roomy!
Such a beautiful view from the balcony. We spent 3 days here for my sisters bachelorette party with about 8 other girls. Plenty of space to accommodate multiple people including 3 bathrooms. We spent one day at a beach nearby, one day in traverse city and one day just eating and relaxing in the area. Great hosts. Don’t hesitate, you won’t be disappointed.

We did not want to leave!
Truly a knockout property. The owners thought of every last detail and every item we found inside- from kitchenware to the Vera Wang towels was high end and exceeded our expectations. Even the hard to please teenagers were on cloud nine. Thank you for having so many great board games and giving us the chance to go back in time and teach them how to play Ms Pac-Man with the old School arcade games. Having walking access to the slopes was such a luxury. So was the pool access. Joe was extremely responsive and even changed my flat tire for me when we crossed paths at time of departure. Thank you, Joe & Jim for being so good at this and for hosting a fabulous and memorable ski trip!

Incredible cottage with a spectacular view, just book it now!
This place is awesome, it really is an amazing cottage! Clean, cozy, & the perfect location, with plenty of parking. It snowed like crazy upon arrival (snowed sideways with 45+ winds!) and the driveway and streets were cleared first thing in morning. The property is on top of the mountain with access to ski down, with lift pass, which was huge for family. I was so content to chill in cottage, relax, build a fire, read a book.. and the view! All the amenities you need, lots of space, games, TVs, internet, comfortable beds, fireplace, wood, so many beautiful details through out, close to town with good food & friendly people. I'm surprised we left! Really enjoyed it here, loving Michigan, we'll definitely be back! Thanks for sharing your cottage, it was a much needed break for the family.

We really enjoyed our stay in this cute, cozy cabin! Great communication from the owners, well cleaned, and quite spacious. Highly recommend.
