Only few things.

When we arrived one bathroom had no toilet paper so we only had 2 rolls. The kitchen needs all new cooking pans. With family of 7 it was hard cook with 1 very old and small skillet and only 1 large pot. So kitchen needs completely updated with cookware.

Great Stay

Dealing with Rick was the best, he answered all questions plus more, confirmed boat launches near by, place was great, fun and awesome back in the woods. We all had a blast and would stay there again for sure!

Golf Trip

Myself and my old college roomates stayed here for a weekend golf trip. This cabin was perfectly located less than 5 minutes from all the courses we played. The house was very clean and comfortable for us. We loved hanging out on the deck and night. The owner is very thoughtful. I will definitely be staying here again for skiing/golf.

Excellent Stay!

Great location / close to everything / Traverse City and Elk Lake during the day & even with the rain, the pool pass was nice to have in the evening. Wish we would have had time for more / will def be booking a longer stay next time

Annual Golf Trip

First time visiting Shanty Creek for some golf. Beautiful chalet and very close to everything nearby. Definitely would recommend for a group of people, whether it’s golfing or skiing.

We absolutely loved this place it was perfect for our family and friends! We enjoyed every minute of our stay I would highly recommend and we will be back next year! The only downfall to this place is there’s no dryer or washer. When we went out on the boat all day and returned to hang our towels out to dry they never dried because of all the trees surrounding the house. So we were using wet towels every day but besides that this place is top notch!!!

Wonderful Family Vacation!

The chalet is beautifully decorated and accommodated our entire family 5 adults, 1 teen and 1 child. We had a wonderful stay. The house is very clean and mostly updated throughout (there are alot of stairs inside/out however, we enjoyed the little fitness challenge each time we arrived back "home") but I have admit the BEST part was the master bed upstairs. I do not think I have ever slept in a more comfortable bed. I wanted to check the brand before we left, but I forgot! We had no complaints from any other family members regarding the sleeping arrangements either, so the must have slept as well as we did! You will not be disappointed with this rental. The only disappointment we had was the washer and dryer were locked up and we like to dry our suits/towels are beach club & pool. We have been vacationing at Shanty Creek/Schuss Mt since 1984 so we know our way around pretty well. This chalet is located over at Schuss just down from Suedendorf Condos. Great location, great price, friendly (and easy to get a hold of) management/owners. We definitely will rent again! Thank you for the wonderful accommodations that allowed us to make beautiful memories with our family!

Perfect stay!

This is a great property and I’ve stayed at several over the years. Rick really made everything go smoothly and gave us several reccs in the area for things to do! Check in and out was super smooth and they had a check list to make it even easier. We had six kids with us and they fit perfectly and loved the bunk beds. The fire pit was great and everything in the house was brand new. We went to the water park and Torch Lake and they are both quick drives. The pool pass was a bonus and the kids loved the indoor and outdoor pools! Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with our family! We will stay here again for sure!!
