The pictures didn’t show the stained shower, stained toilets, or animal feces left by the tv. Also, the fridge didn’t work so we had to buy bottled water to drink as it’s well water that smells rusty since it never gets used. After letting the manager know about the condition of the house, I was told I still have to pay a cleaning fee even though we arrived to a non clean house. Don’t believe the cleanliness of the pictures.

There are some products out there that can remove the rust stains from the sinks, showers, and toilets. Not a huge issue, it would just look a little better. Otherwise worked wonderfully!

The bedrooms were fine. Living room was very large which was nice but the couch was stained and dirty looking. The kitchen and bathrooms were fine. The iron stained sinks, toilet, etc. made it feel a bit dirty. The water softner container was completely empty so we had to add the salt bags left near it. Unknowingly, The dryer did not tumble so we had to hang our washed clothes around the house to dry. The property outside was lovely but did not appear to be attended to in a long time. The garbage can was full and at the road the whole time we were there. The location was perfect for exploring the dunes and Traverse city to the west and lots of special art shops to the east.

Perfect family getaway next to Torch Lake

We were absolutely thrilled when we arrived at this home for our weekend vacation! We couldn’t believe how much space there was for our family of 4 (plus 2 friends and a dog) to spread out! The pictures are great but it was even more perfect than we had imagined! So much room to play yard games and have a fire without feeling like we were surrounded by people. The woods in the back gave a perfect place to walk our dog around and also made it feel like we were on our own private property. We enjoyed dinners at home and even played cards at the large dining table and watched a movie on TV on the expansive couch! A short drive down the road had us grocery shopping in Central Lake, eating in Alden, and renting a pontoon in Rapid City to enjoy a full day on Torch Lake! My only disappointment was that we didn’t rent the property for an entire week! We are looking forward to renting again next year! What a perfect way to close out our summer vacation!
