“Probably the worst hotels that i can remember staying in more than a decade, and i travel quite a bit. Extremely dirty... room, bathroom, common areas. Smelt pretty bad too. Very badly maintained. Bed's were uncomfortable and not flat (significant sagging from overuse). I was not expecting much as i was looking for a one night stay near the highway i was passing, but this was horrible! Rooms and comon areas are outdated but that's not the biggest issue. Check in/out was quick. The staff...

“We've been staying at Mansions on Fifth for several years now. We love the hotel and location. However, we were disappointed to learn this time that the absolutely wonderful breakfast that was offered earlier (for like $22) is not longer offered. Instead, for $15 you can get a pre-wrapped dried out croissant from some factory in Pittsburgh. Major disappointment. They have the facilities to offer breakfast, all they need to do is cook it.”

“Stayed here for two different days on a there and back road trip to Chicago. Clean rooms. Nice room layout. "Award-winning breakfast" is a stretch. Don't get your hopes up. And, while it's not the hotel's fault, the surrounding roadways are a nightmare. There are some potholes that could destroy your car if you're not careful. Assume this is due to the dead/dying mall next door. Otherwise, there are plenty of restaurants and shops in the area, just be careful driving.”
