  • Calmando är en lyxig villa vid havet, inbäddat mellan två palmfransiga sandstränder. Beläget i det lugna området Crown Point (Spring) ligger det inom gångavstånd till stranden och en restaurang. Det är en kort bilresa till Port Elizabeth där du kan njuta av ett urval av restauranger, kaféer och butiker.

    Med över 2200 kvadratmeter boyta är Calmando perfekt för att koppla av och njuta av livet på ön. När du kommer in i villan märker du att det finns östra utsikt från alla rum.

    Calmando har två bra storlek sovrum med en queen size-säng, eget badrum och klädkammare. Det fullt öppna köket erbjuder dig Corian räknare, en uppvärmd frukostbar och apparater av rostfritt stål (kylskåp, konvektionsugn, över spisen mikrovågsugn, vanlig gaspanna).

    Det östra vardagsrummet gränsar till stora glasdörrar som fyller utrymmet med naturligt ljus. Vardagsrummet öppnar upp till en täckt terrass där du kan sitta och njuta av måltider på teakmöblerna. Det finns gott om sittplatser och en 40-tums smart tv ansluten till internet. Den intilliggande matsalen rymmer sex gäster.

    Sovrummen, vardagsrummet, matplatsen och den täckta terrassen har utsikt över det pittoreska turkosvattnet i Karibiska havet. Solskydda och inbjudande utomhusytan har en grill och två picknickbord perfekt för avkoppling och underhållande. Med utsikt över bukten finns ett däck med sex solstolar och en utomhusdusch för att tvätta bort någon sand från ditt äventyr på stranden. Crescent Beach är utmärkt för simning och snorkling eftersom det skyddas av korallrev och är perfekt för picknick eftersom palmerna ger skugga. Handelsvindarna är starka nog att du kan njuta av kitesurfing.

Beautiful Bequia

The house was exactly as advertised. Great location, nice layout, well stocked kitchen. Edwin was extremely helpful when we needed some guidance. The host, Francis, was also very responsive and accommodating. We had a great time!

Fine paradise on a dream island

The beautiful house is located in a very quiet corner of the idyllic island. The view from the terraces or from the rooms of the nearby sea is stunning. The kitchen is well equipped, there is even a great grill and the wing-like arrangement of the bedrooms, each with a bathroom and dressing room, makes a lot of sense. We were able to relax here fantastically.

Beautiful views!

We loved Bequia and our stay here! The villa was nice and had everything we needed. The views are spectacular! The only drawback for our group was the lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms, as it was very hot during our stay. I’m sure it would be fine when it’s a little cooler or breezier. Overall though, our stay was amazing!

Beautiful View & Breeze

Loved the view and the breeze. Short walk to quiet beach and we swam every day Jan 3-Feb 11. Kitchen is well equipped and nice big fridge with ice maker. Edwin was very helpful and responded quickly to all communications. He even found some portable beach chairs for us, hard to do on this little island!

Beautiful view

We loved the view to the south east and always a lovely breeze. Very well equipped kitchen and comfortable space. Very sunny until about noon and no shade to be able to enjoy sitting outside on front deck. Thanks Edwin for your help.

Tranquil and picturesque

The views were fantastic and nearby beaches were private and quiet. Property was well maintained. No air conditioning but there was always a good breeze. Kitchen had everything we needed and Edwin was always quick to respond to any of our questions. It was less than a 10 minute ride to Port Elizabeth in our Mule. Cant wait to go back!

Return visit

This is our second visit to Calmando with new friends who have never been to Bequia. Once again we thoroughly enjoyed out stay. Calmando is fully equipped, bbq is a great feature, and the location up on the hill looking out over the ocean is spectacular. Because of the elevation there is a constant breeze to keep things cool and the very few bugs we encountered away. Washer and dryer a bonus which means you do not have to bring a ton of clothes and you can dry them in the breeze in no time. We chose to take the walk into town each morning ( 25 minutes ) wear you will find fabulous beaches, restaurants and friendly island residents. Edwin is always available should you have any issues. Sugar Reef is less than a 10 minute walk and the Turtle Sanctuary about 20. 2 years in a row and we will be back.

Bequia Stay

Edwin was very helpful in meeting us at the ferry and having us follow him to the property. It would have been difficult to find in the dark. It is definitely best to have a car to stay here. There are no restaraunts within walking distance. When the person on the drivers license got sick, we could not use our car and it took many calls to get a taxi. If arranged a day ahead it was easier. It cost $21 US each way for two of us to go from the villa to town or princess Margaret beach. The views are beautiful for sunrise and moon rise. Always a breeze which was good because there is no airconditioning. We needed to leave the doors to outside on the bedrooms open all night or it was very stuffy. One of the ceiling fans in the bedroom did not work. There were mosquito nets over the beds which also helped because the no-see-ums were a presence. Furniture is adaquate but dated and not very comfortable. We cooked two meals a day at the villa. there were plenty of pots and pans and everything we needed in the kitchen. Only two burners on the stove were working. The grill was a helpful addition.

First visit to Bequia

The island of Bequia was recommended to us by a good friend. Beautiful, safe and warm friednly people and he was bang on. Calmando was a beautiful retreat. Waking up every morning to the beautiful ocean view and the sunrise was awesome. There is a steady breeeze to help keep you cool and bug free ( although we never had a bug problem anywhere ). The property is well equipped with everything you need. Beach towels was a bonus. There is also laundry facilities which we took advantage of. BBQ came in handy as well. You are within easy walking distance to the turtle sanctuary, which was facinating, as well as Sugar Reef ( dinner ) and Firefly ( lunch, dinner and golfiing ). Edwin, the property manager met us at the ferry on our arrival and got us settled in our first night. He checked up with us during our stay to make sure that we had everyting we needed. Calmando is clean, well equipped and in a spectacular location. Would definitely recommend and return. Cheers

Beautiful panorama.

Very accurate description: excellent facilities, remarkable views. Ideal for two couples. Nearby Sugar Reef Cafe is excellent. Swimming in Industry Bay is comfortable, but water is turbid. Wonderfully tranquil: we were there for a week, and never felt a need to go any where else.
