“Nice facility and well kept place, including the cleaning. We got the impression that all of the budget is spent on decorations, maintaining the facility and gardens. Yet the feeling is not good at all. The level of service is below average and the food feels like it is on a tight budget as well. This is our 4th hotel here in Costa Rica and for the first time the breakfast is not as fresh and yummy as we have been used to. “This place is breath-taking (with three different types of monkeys playing around, beautiful birds flying over you all of the time and sloths going about their business in their charmingly slow way). The villa we stayed in was to die for! It was perched high up in the mountains with ocean views and windows everywhere which gave us a unique perspective on the flora and fauna all around us. “We love this spot. Came here pre kid 15 ish years ago and returned with our 9 year old. There is a new building but the vibe is the same. Walkable uphill and downhill to restaurants but certainly stay and try the onsite at Sloth. The food was lovely. ”
