  • Welcome to the Gîte du Fau, a beautiful renovated stone house nestled in the peaceful village of Bessonies. This authentic home offers a haven of peace where calm and serenity reign, set in a pristine and enchanting setting. The stone walls bear witness to the region’s rich heritage, while modern touches add comfort and elegance to the overall ambiance. For those wishing to explore the area, Bessonies and its surroundings offer a multitude of activities and sights to discover. Go hiking through the wild and unspoiled landscapes of the Lot and near the Cantal (the Causses du Quercy Regional Nature Park, Puy Mary, and Lioran). Explore the picturesque villages of the region: Salers, Laroquebrou, Rocamadour, Loubressac, Autoire, Carennac, the medieval town of Maurs, and Figeac. Be sure to visit the historical and cultural sites scattered throughout the region, such as the Presque Caves, the Padirac Chasm, or the castles (Montal, Castelnau, etc.), true gems of Renaissance architecture. If you’re looking to go swimming, enjoy Lake Tolerme, with its beach and water sports center just 10 minutes away, and the Saint-Etienne-Cantalès Dam and its beaches, 25 minutes away. For sports enthusiasts and thrill-seekers, there’s a go-kart track in Pers (20 minutes away), downhill mountain biking in Le Lioran, and a tree-top adventure park in Cantalès or Figeac. Whether you’re seeking adventure, exploration, or simply relaxation, the Gîte du Fau and its surroundings will charm you with their beauty and authenticity, ensuring an unforgettable vacation in the Lot. Access to the cottage is via a dozen steps. Open-concept living room/kitchen leading to a terrace at the back of the cottage; separate toilet. Upstairs, 3 attic bedrooms, 2 of which have a 140x190 bed and one with 2 90x190 beds. Bathroom with toilet. First floor: washing machine. Unfenced property with parking space. Sheets, towels, and end-of-stay cleaning available as options. Wi-Fi. The cottage is not accessible to guests with limited mobility.
