We were a family of 6 total on vacation from out of state. We’ve stayed at Sea Colony in previous years and were looking for a slightly larger condo this year and this unit checked our boxes. This is a lengthy review, so if you aren’t interested in the details you can skip to the very bottom for my summary.
Pros:
The condo was clean upon arrival and was pretty much as pictured in listing. It is obvious that the unit is newly remodeled and has some really nice features such dimming lights, beautiful walk in showers, electric blinds in master bedroom and a fully updated kitchen. The kitchen was stocked with cups, mugs, dishes, flatware and more! We didn’t use the kitchen much beyond making coffee but the kitchen was stocked with most essentials you would need should you like to cook during your stay. Linens and towels were included. There was also an electric sweeper that was handy for sand that got drug in from the beach. The washing machine and dryer are nice for washing towels for reuse and especially helpful if you’re traveling with children.
Improvement areas:
Some of the light switches were tricky to figure out what they worked; some seemed to work nothing. The curtains in the living room were beautiful, however they only open one door width, so having the ocean views from the living room/main space is tricky. We were traveling with an older parent who didn’t go to the beach due to mobility issues, so having window coverings that fully opened would have been nice for better views of the beach and ocean while in the living room. The light in the bathroom attached to master bedroom stopped working on our final evening, it just would not turn off. I did mention this as we checked out and Vacasa said they would have maintenance check it out. The Vacasa staff is very friendly, kind and helpful and I’m sure had we called about any of these items they would have come and addressed them. We had a jam packed schedule, trying to do all The things that all members of our party wanted to during our vacation so we just simply didn’t want to take the time to phone in these minor inconveniences. They were by no means deal breakers.
Overall this is a beautifully renovated, extremely nice condo, in really good condition. The improvement areas are things that were more of an annoyance when you’re spending a chunk of change on a vacation rental, but did not have a huge effect on our overall stay. The location was great and Sea Colony, in general can’t be beat!
I would recommend this unit without hesitation!
