“This is a gem of a place. I have stayed at the abner many times and am delighted to say it is always a treat. The hotel is warm charming sparkling clean and perfectly located with shopping and dining just outside your doors. The rooms are comfortably appointed with all the extras of a posh stay . The breakfast is a must and don’t skip the frittata. Dinner is a cozy culinary experience with an ample menu to cover many tastes but dine exquisitely. “No daily service. Paper thin walls- can hear the neighbors pillow talk and family planning session at 2.30am. Guests having cell phone convos in the hall at 11pm. Other guest partying in the parking lot hanging by their commercial vehicles. The room window did not seal shut to mitigate the noise. Guest Trash was piled near the hall exits. There was NO exterior security access door- anyone could walk into the common areas at all hrs. Even for basic accomodations, major shortcomings.”

“Lovely, small room with extra desk space, direct access to the room without going down dark hallways. Pleasant staff, everything you need for a weekend in the area.”

“They charged me security deposit and it somehow disappeared from my transaction history and never showed up back. My bank cannot find the transaction. On my second stay they charged my card twice for security deposit. Based on reviews this has been an ongoing issue with this location. I’ve been to several locations and a hour after checkout I always get my deposit back, but for some reason this location holds onto your money.”

“It does not seem there are Kings beds despite advertising/offering of such. Room has a full and a twin and no, they cannot be pushed together. The entire room is tiny. I mean tiny. My bf knees touched shower curtain when sitting on toilet and could not shut door-tiny. We did not attempt to use shower because so small. That being said, it satisfies what we needed it for-it was inexpensive as rates go, it was clean, the AC worked well as did the tv. Honestly I’d give 2.5.”

“The girl at counter initially helpful- one employee down- so she had too Much to do- graduation weekend- chaos- our room was not acceptable- ac malfunctioning, no other room available - banking like crazy - girl couldn’t help - overwhelmed With customers. Booked thru Expedia- so they intervened and we got our money back- the hotel initially didn’t want to do that. Maybe other times the hotel is ok- might be just one off”

“It was difficult to get into the room with two tricky combination locks. You can't watch any TV unless you know your streaming service passwords, no free TV. The coffee machine was plugged in but we couldn't figure out how to work it (no instructions available to read). The mattress was excellent and we slept well. Some might not like the train horns, but we didn't mind.”
