South Coast Big Sur; Fredlig reträtt med fantastisk utsikt

Fly från folkmassorna till South Sur i Big Sur! Kom och bo på vår fridfulla 8 tunnland reträtt belägen nära Gorda, Plaskett Creek Campground och Sand Dollar Beach cirka en timmes bilfärd söder om Big Sur. Ligger ungefär en mil upp en graderad grusväg, tillgänglig för de flesta fordon (4WD BEGRÄNSAD I REGN DY TILL RUTAR OCH SLIPPERVÄG). Det är tillgängligt via motorväg 1.

Hemmet ligger 800 meter över Stilla havet med expansiv utsikt över havet och bergen från alla rum. När du går genom porten i slutet av uppfarten, kommer du att passera genom en liten redwood skog som leder till 1600 kvadratmeter utanför nätet hem drivet med sol och propan med färskt källvatten. Nyligen renoverat, detta vackra hem har välvda tak med massor av fönster för att låta skönheten i Big Sur inuti. Inkluderar begränsad tillgång till Internet, en 55 "TV för DVD-skivor, en internetbaserad fast telefon för korta, nödsamtal och begränsad Verizon mobiltelefonmottagning från däck. Var och en av de två sovrummen har en ny drottningssäng (2016) och sängkläder. De två fulla baden är snyggt inredda. Köket är fullt utrustat med allt du behöver för din vistelse. Däck har ett bord med 4 stolar och 4 solstolar och propan BBQ med propan tillhandahålls. Hemmet är omgivet av Big Sur-trädgårdar som ändras med årstiderna. Hemmet har vårdgivare på plats som delar uppfarten och bor i vaktmästaren som ligger cirka 150 meter från huvudhuset bakom ett integritetsstaket.

Sitting on the Edge of a Beautiful World!

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful home with one of our best friends. We wanted a long weekend of hiking, relaxing, reading, and most generally, re-energizing. At least four elements put this property at the top of our favorite stays…the views from every room are spectacular! We are fortunate enough to have stayed in many high-end rental homes/cabins/hotels and this property offers one of the best views of our gorgeous Big Sur coastline. I can’t say enough about it!! The owners, Dave and Nicole responded clearly and quickly to our questions, which allows the pre-planning to run so smoothly. Next, this home is set up in a thoughtful and detailed manner (i.e. a note posted above the radiant heat thermostat to explain its operation) which was delightful to encounter each day of our stay! And perhaps I’m saving the best for last…The caretakers of the property Melissa annd Daniel are sweet, competent, never intrusive, and available to answer any questions. The property is fairly isolated and off the grid, so we were reassured knowing they were fairly close, should we need them…but we didn’t!I highly recommend this house to anyone who wants to experience a slice of Big Sur heaven!

Amazing Big Sur getaway

We enjoyed this stay a lot, breathtaking views and gorgeous house , that provides everything you need. Very comfy bedrooms , garden, patio. Very clean! And hosts left us fresh lettuce from the garden which was a highlight, very delicious. Thank you

Amazing experience

Amazing views and the house was exacting as pictured. The house was spotless and all of the comforts were there. Good quality cookware, knives and dishes, everything provided was top notch. Beautiful landscaping and nothing but peace and quiet. The owners were quick to answer any questions I had and the caretakers, Daniel and Melissa were so nice and were more than happy to help with all of our needs. It was a perfect vacation.

Best place to enjoy the beautiful Bigsur

We just completed our third stay at this beautiful Sunshine Alley and we loved it as much as ever! The peaceful ambiance and stunning views make it an ideal retreat. We spent 4 days, beautiful property, gorgeous views, great kitchen, and comfortable cozy furniture. The hosts were very responsive to our inquiries. They were also very truthful about the challenge of the steep driveway, so we were prepared for the adventure. We certainly felt the view and privacy were worth the drive.

That view!

Took a short holiday road trip with the wife and dog and the house was exactly as listed. The road up has the potential to be a little tricky in very wet weather, but it wasn’t bad in the December drizzle. The house was stocked with all the basics you might need, but come prepared, it’s a long way back to civilization. And it’s all about that incredible view from the deck!

Stunning and peaceful

We celebrated our honeymoon here and it was breathtaking! Everything in the home is thoughtfully placed, from games and cutlery to extra toiletries in the bathrooms. And you seriously need a 4wd to get up here, it was gorgeous and worth it.

Beautiful and unique—be ready for an adventure!

We stayed at this lovely cabin as part of a big bucket-list trip for my parents. They had never been to Big Sur, and we wanted to give them an experience they wouldn’t forget—and this delivered!! The house itself is absolutely lovely and has everything you need for a great stay and more. Being so high above the ocean offers a chance for incredible views—as long as there are no clouds, which, sadly, there were many during our stay! But it did eventually clear up a bit, and it was SO worth it. You can catch the view from almost anywhere in the house, and the best place is, of course, the upstairs deck. Just amazing! Do heed the warning about the dirt road up to the property, though—we were very glad we did, and we made sure that our rental car had AWD before we got there. We had a little trouble getting up the road because we weren’t sure which way to turn at one point (turns out that left was the right answer!), so we slowed to a stop, which made it tough to gain traction again. We were in a minivan, which did make it up there, but a Jeep or truck would have had a much easier time! We chose to bring everything we needed up there with us so we wouldn’t have to leave, and that felt like the exact right way to do it. The cabin is comfortable and so pleasant, and it’s a wonderful place to rest and relax. We got to meet Nicole, one of the owners, who stayed to make sure we were able to get up the road and in the house okay, which we really appreciated!

Wonderful honeymoon!

We had a fantastic honeymoon week here and would love to stay again! This place is in an incredible location. We were able to do some day trips into Cambria but also just spent a few days at the house enjoying the view. We had no trouble with the dirt road in our Subaru Forrester. The caretakers were friendly but respected our privacy. We enjoyed sitting by the fire on foggy evenings. Looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful but a challenge

We were at the end of a very busy vacation. The "easy" part we thought! Lol In a Jeep or Crosstrek I'd have had fun on that drive up to house but in a big truck it was not. The views were mostly of the top of clouds but we did get some peaks of beauty. Would go again if woth a feiend and staying a week
