Not a bad room and sleep but was informed about what type of breakfast was available and I wouldn’t have stayed because I thought it was a cooked breakfast and was disappointed that it wasn’t available

Very shabby, basic. Room door had a large gap around it. Very very noisy throughout the night, I felt very unsafe.

Great value and location!
The hotel was clean, tidy and comfortable. The heating was was on full throughout our stay. The breakfast spread was really goof with fresh fruits, selection of cereals, bread and spreads. My only issue was with my room on the road noise could be heard from the main road and the beds next to window meant there was a draft coming in. But I'm a light sleeper so maybe fine for others. The service was good and house keeping was exceptionally clean!

We reached the property little late in the evening and the staff at the hotel was not sure of we were coming inspite of it says on the reservation that the booking is confirmed and no need to call the property for further confirmation. At last upon request the staff called the owner and they decided for us to have another location to stay which was little far and later we were told that the location is very unsafe and be careful. Although the hotel was good but we were asked to stay in 2 separate room which was little inconvenient. Staff at the hotel did took our care and we were happy with it.

Good for a one night stop if you are not too fussy
Booked this late for an overnight stop prior to a University open day. We were moved to the property opposite the hotel, upgraded to an en-suite room rather than shared bathroom. Room was very spacious, beds very comfy. Cleaner needs to be a bit more meticulous, found toenail clipping that avoided the hoover. Breakfast was very good. All in all very happy with this place for an overnight stop.

Thank you for your review. We are very sorry that your stay was not up to your expectations. Unfortunately you booked the basic rooms. We clearly state that these rooms have shared bathroom facilities. Only the en-suite rooms come with their own facilities.

Checked out after 1 hour.
Was housed in the “annex” - a detached house across the street. Checked out an hour after checking in due to the “annex” containing what appeared to be numerous families living in there. Very loud. Felt unsafe. Staff very accommodating and understanding when I explained I did not feel comfortable staying there.

Our sincere apologies Katie. Our hotel is children friendly like all hotels so we often do get families booking with us. We had an American family booked with us on the same day as you. Being as you checked in early their children were still up and about enjoying their holiday and our friendly facilities. We were surprised at your reaction to a very friendly family that did not bother any of the other 24 rooms .Regards

Simple, comfortable, convenient.
Warm welcome, comfortable bed, simple breakfast, good parking, easy access to City Centre by bus. Maybe the conversion work was a lttle skimpy (creaky floors and thin walls. Excellent choice for the Solo Traveller.

Clean, with excellent customer service
Dodgy area but the proprietor was really helpful and polite. The bed was clean and comfortable. It was actually not too bad. Cheap. Breakfast was pretty decent. Toast and fruit and cereal.

Horrible hotel
Booked and paid for room with ensuite the room we were given was just a bedroom and a shared bathroom!! When I asked the staff about this we were made out to have lied about our booking on showing proof the member of staff was not interested and very rude so we were made to pay for a room that we didn't get! Room was dirty and smelt of dog towel had black marks on it. I come away from the hotel feeling very dirty and had to shower once home. I would rather sleep on a park bench then set foot in this hotel again.

Good value Hotel - Recommended . Ideal base to go into the city Plusses: - friendly helpful staff - easy parking - safe, quiet area - Tesco express 50 metres away - bus stop to city 50 metres away - 10 min ride - £4 return - 2 or 3 mile walk / jog into the city centre - good breakfast (toast, 5 or 6 cereal choices, boiled eggs, filter coffee, fruit (grapes, water melon, apples, plums, kiwi) - room basic and a bit dated, but clean, tidy and had everything needed Negatives (all minor) : - no yoghurt at breakfast (but just buy your own at Tesco) - bar soap provided, but no shower gel or shampoo (bring your own or buy at Tesco) - electric shower on the wall a bit temperamental

Room disappointment
We booked a room which was described as "ensuite" BUT it wasn't and that was our only requirement when we searched accommodation!!! Very disappointed!!! Also wasn't able to lock the room as when you lock the door, you just push a bit the door and you get easily in.
