“Hotel personnel were very helpful and friendly. Room, Toilet and shower very clean. Tea and coffee in the room was always replenished. The fan system air and refrigeration from the kitchen in the Beefeater was very loud especially at 05:30 AM. All in all I can recommend this hotel. 8 minutes with a Taxi to the train station.”

“The cottage was gorgeous, in a lovely quiet location and parking at the back. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. We only stayed a night but it had almost everything you'd need for a stay. A bit of soap in the bathroom and teatowel/towel and washing up liquid in the kitchen with some milk for a cuppa when you arrive would have made it perfect. Was seen soon as I walked in and being a pub the lovely lady told me straight away there was live music and it might be a bit noisy. Which I didn’t mind as I was going to work. “Lovely small hotel with a few areas to improve - room 10 the radiator didn’t work but they had left a small plug in , it didn’t heat the room so room was very cold . The bathroom had no extractor working so got very steamy and couldn’t use mirror . Fridge wasn’t secure in unit so fridge fell forward , TV had limited channels and could not get a response on how to access through pin . The hotel was beautifully restored and exceptionally clean. Would stay again if the room was heated ”

“No staff about when you needed them. Heating not working. Wasnt fixed when asked. Restaurant has been shut about 4 years, no food on site. Fire alarm went off at 4.45am and no staff on site. Fire brigade had to break in to reset alarm. Makes Fawlty Towers look like a 5 star! Dont be fooled by the pictures! Cheap and definitely not cheerful. Literally unable to contact anyone for a refund. ”
