Head further afield to Porthmadog, a bustling harbour town with heritage railways and nearby beaches or explore the pretty coastal village of Borth-y-Gest with its sandy coves and scenic walks. Harlech, home to a striking UNESCO-listed castle and an expansive beach, makes for a great day trip, while Betws-y-Coed, nestled among forests and rivers, offers charming shops, cafes, and beautiful woodland trails.
