“Nice clean room. The private balcony had a great view and was really cool in the early morning but it was too hot to use the rest of the day while we were there...temps in the 90's. We love this area and had previously stayed at The Evening Shade a few times and next door at Carters Lodge. We were really sad that one is gone and the other boarded up. “With the lake not yet active after the storm I was concerned if the younger adults would be bored or not have a great time. We all had a blast. That game table is a hit! Good for. A few minutes entertainment or several hours depending on what you want to play. Very comfortable beds. Very beautiful place. Easy to use tbs and kitchen ware. Enough technology to impress. But not ultra technical gadgets to complicated to use. We had an awesome time! Will stay again if available. Quiet neighborhood...

“We received no notifications about how to check in. I panicked and called VRBO several times. I was finally able to call the resort directly and confirm the reservation. The unit hasn't been renovated in a while and the carpeting needs to be replaced. All the uncertainty made for a stressful weekend.”

“We loved our stay in this perfect treehouse! The accommodations were clean and inviting, with lots of thoughtful touches tucked throughout the property (I won’t give them away here!). The hosts were wonderful, friendly, and made communication a breeze. Location is great, and will only continue to improve as Chimney Rock continues to rebuild from Helene.
