“Myself and my partner only stayed for one night. The cabin was very clean and cosy with everything we needed for our short break. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent, things that not all places we have stayed get right. We used it as a stop off on our trip to photograph the mountains and surrounding areas, this was the perfect stop off for what we wanted. Thank you for the stay, it made our break, we will definitely be booking again.”

“Another great break at the briers. Ive stayed in the slieve donard, the avoca and the donard. The briers is easily my favourite. Beautiful surroundings, clean rooms, friendly and hospitable staff. Excellent value for money. Will definitely be back again before the end of the summer.”

“Main standout quality of this hotel is it’s location. Beautiful views of The Mournes and very well maintained gardens. Also ample car parking space. If you want a quiet place to escape then this is it. Very attentive staff and excellent food. We did get the impression that one of the male staff was overworked- it seemed that he was absolutely doing everything, but must stress that he was an excellent ‘people person’ and that nothing was a bother to him. “I absolutely love it here, I stay whenever I’m back in Northern Ireland. Hillsborough is a gorgeous village, not far at all from Belfast. Arthur’s is a lovely hotel, right in the heart of town and walking distance from some great restaurants and bars. The rooms are stunning! Beautifully decorated and super comfortable. Breakfast is also great. I will always choose to stay here whenever I’m over :)”

“Truly an exceptional hotel. I grew up in the area and it has continued its history of providing an experience that excels (locals just call it “The Slieve”). The amenities are fantastic with the spa facilities, snooker room, drawing room for a peaceful morning. Breakfast in the main dining area with views of the Mounre Mountains is an experience itself. "Nice hotel. Good location. Great gym. Service was good. Food in restaurant was good. Bit of noise in the room from water pipes but reported it and the staff gave me some points as compensation."

"Bra hotell som jag gärna skulle bo på igen. Extremt trevlig personal förutom en kvinna i receptionen. Personalen i frukosten var riktigt trevliga. Gratis parkering bakom hotellet inlåst. Grymt bra italiensk restaurang ca 400 m från hotellet (Scalia). Rekommenderas varmt! "
