The listing does not communicate how rustic this property is. It is a legit log cabin, with moss filling the space between the logs (there were numerous gaps where we could see daylight between the logs). The walls between the bedrooms and bathroom were paper thin (it's basically just a board) so you could hear every noise from other rooms. Everything felt dusty, and there were lots of bugs and cobwebs (I killed a wasp, several moths and spiders). The beds were just ok, and hot water seemed to run out quickly. It was a haul to get our suitcases up and down the path to the cabin. Power appeared to have been added after the cabin was built, so outlets are few and far between. That being said, the location is fantastic. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere but we were a few minutes from town. Very peaceful. The view from the deck is lovely, and we enjoyed having morning coffee there and listening to birds. If the listing had better communicated the state of the cabin, we wouldn't have been so caught off guard by its rustic nature and would have appreciated it more.
