“Spacious and clean rooms. Old style as no renovation since opening 2000. Cool asmosphere as this is probably the only chance to stay in an old palace. Food expensive and not tasty although we didn’t discover the restaurant at 6 floor until last day”

Every staff member we met greeted us with a big smile and wanted to make sure we had a nice experience of the hotel and of Brunei. The hotel itself is a classic Radisson business hotel with all amenities you could ask for including a nice buffet breakfast. There is a small swimming pool and a gym which we used. “Fantastiskt boende, trevlig personal, god frukost. Stora nackdelen med Manukan är att ön bombarderas med turister dagtid och att havet och stränderna är en soptipp. Var här 6 dagar varav de 2 sista inte gick att bada pga allt skräp i havet, slutade med att man gick och plockade skräp. Så sorgligt att det finns så stor okunskap bland folket.......”

“We spent wonderful 2 days/ 3 nights in the ocean villa that had steps directly into the sea. The resort is a little dated but makes up for it in comforts (the room and bathroom are very big and comfortable) and the beautiful surroundings (snorkeling directly off the villa’s deck in crystal clear water with lots of fish and coral), watching sunset from the deck. The restaurant serves very tasty meals and the breakfast is wonderful. Service very nice and helpful. I would like to see more...

“High price, cold in the room, not too clean, rats on the roof. Shared toilet and shower that had opened doors to the rain forest.”

“Overall a good stay. It is a big resort but not much people on the beach, so it is very nice to hang there and tonhave a nice beach by yourself :) Different restaurants so you don’t get fed up with same food every day. I booked a diving trip through the hotel, got ripped off. The dive should cost 440 ringgit but the sales rep said it was 550 ringgit. It is almost double the price if you book through the hotel then to dot it on your own. ”

“The room was ok and clean, and the staff was very helpful and service minded. But the location is far from center, and it’s unpleasant to walk from the hotel to center of the city with almost no sidewalks and a lot of traffic.”
