This property was located perfectly and very near to all of the fun activities in Salem! The owner was very responsive and helpful! The only additional comments I would add is the two twin bedroom room really needs a mattress upgrade and is quite uncomfortable. There is no oven on the property so do not expect to bake any items. Other than that it is definitely a location I would book again.

Area is questionable but didn’t feel unsafe once inside. Loud cars & music but quieted down by 11pm. Room for 2 cars but there was already a car there upon arrival so didn’t want to block them in so found over nite parking for $4 at the T station by bridge St. Apartment was spacious and accommodating.Quick walk to the harbor and downtown festivities!

This is in the most unsafe place in Salem The day we get there the property owner came cause he arched you threw a camera and demanded $320 more because we had more than 4 people. Which we gave him he wanted a picture of my moms credit card we gave him cash Then that night there was a fight outside a man got beaten up bad Second night our party left but me and 2 children because how unsafe the neighborhood is That night a couple men tried to attempt to break in I called the police they came said the house across the street was shot 17 times and this house should not be allowed to be rented out do to the safety I left that night with my children and called the landlord which does not respond I had to pay for a hotel to protect my children and the landlord will not give money back after police report was made and our safety was put in jeopardy Even not staying our full stay having to pay for another hotel

Apartment was very clean and comfortable, had everything we needed, was within reasonable walking distance of the shops and attractions. Very strong negative was inability to communicate with landlord in weeks prior to our arrival, after booking. Was actually beginning to think it was a scam! But received detailed instructions and information a few days before check-in, via email, was then finally able to communicate questions. But until then was very stressed and frustrated with the whole process

Best location in Salem!
You will not beat the location of this property in Salem. Walking distance from great restaurants and attractions. There are some very nice beaches nearby. You will not find a better place to stay with 3 full bedrooms! However, if you are sensitive to noise, this will likely be a trip of sleepless nights. There were multiple cars driving up the street past 10pm on Sunday with very loud music. The neighbor has a baby that can easily be heard. I slept great though!

You get what you pay for. If you are just looking for a place to sleep this will do. Just be aware. The 3rd floor apartment had no livingroom. The two full size beds were ok but the two twin beds were not comfortable at all. There are two flights of stairs that you must carry your bags up and down. It's located in a working clas neighborhood. Parking was a nightmare because of this we had to walk a few blocks to the apartment and didn't always feel safe.

É uma casa antiga e espaçosa. Fica num bairro residencial, perto do centro histórico (10 minutos a pé). Não encontramos um bom supermercado em volta, apenas alguns pequenos estabelecimentos com poucas opções. Os móveis não são novos e rangem. O estacionamento é na rua ou numa estreita vaga ao lado da casa, ambos de graça. Não é fácil achar vaga na rua. O banheiro, assim como o resto da casa, era antigo, mas em boas condições e limpo. O check-in foi fácil e o proprietário nos atendeu prontamente sempre que precisamos. É uma boa opção para visitar Salem. Por outro lado, o transporte público até Boston é caro e demorado, achamos melhor usar o carro.

The description does not explain that it’s in the worst section of Salem. Cops knocked on our door at 3:30 am because there was a domestic dispute with a knife next door. We left after one night, having prepaid 3 days. Expedia won’t return our money. Terrible choice.

This was such a great location to see Salem. We walked to most places we wanted to check out… the witch museum, Peabody museum and Pickering wharf - such fun food and shopping mixed in with history. We would stay her again when visiting Salem.

We had a great time and the space was clean and made nicely when we arrived. Communication with the property owner was fast and he answered all my questions I needed to know. Overall amazing experience I definitely wont forget!

Great apartment, ok neighborhood
The apartment was lovely - clean, comfortable and had plenty of space. The neighborhood was.....ok. A bit noisy, a bit crowded and a little bit down-trodden. It was however walking distance to all the sights and shopping for a great price.

There was no power, the coffee machine barley worked, and no heat...cold showers too. An unfortunate stay.

We are sorry for your experience but unfortunately most of Salem lost power due to a storm at that night and ensuing related heat and hot water outages were not within our control. We hope that the rest of your trip wasn't affected by the storm.

So the property is exactly as the owner stated... three spacious bedrooms a big eating area and a place to relax. Very clean and the code for entry and leaving was simple. I would rent from them again, my only issue to be honest is that the neighborhood was a little louder then expected especially at 1:00 in the morning, that does not reflect on the actual property which we were happy with.

Good sized apartment, very convenient to Salem attractions. Easy to get around. Street noise was more than expected, given we were on 3rd floor. Overall, a nice place to stay!

Roomy, extended stay apartment
Perfect for an extended stay with family. Getting a room would have been too expensive and cramped, but this apartment was the a great size and fit for our family. Very close to downtown shopping, restaurants and bars and near Marblehead and Swampscott, the location was great.

Great spacious apartment close to downtown Salem
We had a great stay! The apartment was in a perfect spot in Salem, walking distance to just about everywhere we wanted to go. The neighborhood was quiet, the apartment was clean and spacious. There was ample street parking. The place was clean, very spacious, and it was a perfect alternative to a hotel. The owner himself was quick to respond and always helpful. If you're looking to stay in Salem, I can't think of a better place!

Spacious place, close to the center of Salem.
My family really enjoyed our stay at Alex's place. We were visiting family friends who were located in Swampscott and were excited to have a large place to ourselves. We appreciated how close the apartment was to downtown Salem, local beaches and restaurants. The drive to our relatives in Swampscott was 5-10 minutes. The WiFi was very fast (which we needed for access to work). Communication with Alex was a breeze. We plan to return to the apartment next time we are in town! Thank you for a great stay!

Great spot for a large group or a couple
The neighborhood isn't the greatest, but the apartment was spotless and exactly as advertised. It easily sleeps 6, so my wife and I had plenty of room. Our host was reachable and easy to work with, and provided a ton of info about the area. We parked in the garage he recommended, and the walk to the apartment was easy. Keep in mind, parking is awful throughout Salem, so the garage was a great option. We would absolutely stay here again, and would recommend to others.

I was traveling through Salem to visit relatives and staying at this apartment was an amazing experience! Check-in was seamless as the apartment uses electronic locks that allowed us to get in very late in the night. The apartment was clean, spacious, well decorated and well located. Lots of restaurants, bars, and historic landmarks are within walking distance. The Wifi in the apartment was extremely fast, which was a relief as I needed to do some work on the trip. Communications with Alex were swift, clear, and easy. If I am back in Salem, I will be back at this apartment. Thank you, Alex!

AWFUL EXPERIENCE
DIRTY, NOISY, NOT 4 BEDROOMS. A SMALL PULL OUT SOFA IS NOT A QUEEN SIZE SOFA AND IT IS NOT A BEDROOM. THIS PALCE IS AWFUL. IT SMELLED LIKE OIL THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS AWFUL. WAS SCARED TO GO OUTSIDE. OUR VIEW WAS OF A NEIGHBOR WITH MATTRESSES ON THE FRONT PORCH. GLASSES AND CIGARETTE BUTTS WERE LEFT AROUND THE PROEPRTY... FROM PREVIOUS TENANTS I PRESUME. THIS PLACE ISNT WORTH 10% OF WHAT WE PAID FOR IT.

Our salem nightmare
This apartment owner let's himself into the apartment unannounced at anytime even while you are occupying the property,he is very rude and the apartment is in a very troubled and bad section of Salem, in addition to these problems there is only one parking spot onsite for 3 apartments in this building and on street parking is almost nonexistent. My review is think really hard about booking this apartment.

This is an Airbnb
Airbnb type apartment for young people only. Not a hotel or even a building with a sign. Very tiny staircase third floor walk up. A nightmare for elderly, the disabled or young children. No parking but you can find on street with some effort. The neighborhood is rough but walk two blocks and you are in very nice tourist area. The three bedroom apartment is comfy with good beds. One tiny bath. Very worn but with new curtains and linens...location to tourist area and functional for a larger group a plus

We very much appreciated your stay with us. We agree with you that the staircase at the property makes it difficult for elderly and the disabled, although children have no problem with it. There is indeed minimal parking at the property, but generally parking is available nearby on the street. There is also a second and first floor apartment that is more spacious (generally is a little pricier). The apartment is a 5 minute walk from all Salem historical and tourist sights. We hope to host you again in the future, and welcome additional feedback so we can continue to strive to improve.
