Many guests have preferred it, but if any guests want to check-in the old way, we have a full-staffed front desk where people can check-in in person. There is no question Salem is a small city and there is street noise. If this is a problem, guests can call and request a back room. During our busy season, we treat our guests to complimentary wine in our garden courtyard, weather permitting, or in our charming breakfast room with its exposed bricks and beehive ovens. Thank you, James, for the five-star rating! We understand parking is tricky in Salem. Salem has more visitors during the busy season than the city has parking spaces. At the Inn we are lucky to have a spot for every guest, whether it is behind the Peabody House, behind the Curwen House, or in a city lot that has spaces reserved for our guests. There can be a short walk from your space to the house you are staying in, but we do have drop-off spots for your luggage at each house. Again, we apologize if it was a hassle.
