âThis is a fantastic hotel. The staff are attentive and friendly, our room was beautiful and the hotel grounds are looked after with a real sense of care and pride. Breakfast was a highlight of the day! The outdoor pool area and various other seating areas around the hotel gave us many opportunities to relax and read. Although about a 30 min walk from the centre of Porto, there are many excellent restaurants within a 10 min walk of the hotel.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Palacete...

âBeautifully designed from the moment you walk up to the hotel, with attention to detail in every single room. Staff was helfpul and accomdating, especially because we had a 7am departure and breakfast wasn't until 8am - they gave us to-go breakfasts that we picked up on our way out. GORGEOUS place - including our bedroom, the breakfast area and the coffee area. â

âThis was a great place for us with two small kids, a loft, extra bed, baby crib, baby chair and all extras made it comfortable. The hotel is clean, it has a nice quiet garden and most importantly has the nicest and most helpful staff! We will definitely go back there if we are in Porto again!â

âVi bodde pĂ„ oporto loft 4 dagar, det var vĂ€ldigt trevligt, mysigt hotell, vi hade tillgĂ„ng till en mycket fin trĂ€dgĂ„rd, det gjorde resan Ă€nnu mer avkopplande. Bra frukost, mycket bra guidning inom staden, vĂ€rden var mycket trevliga. Vi kommer sĂ€kert tillbaka.â

âTh layout of our room Premium twin was very challenging. Shower Room completely transparent, opposite the only window, for 2 women sharing a room, it is VERY difficult. The long sofa faces the shower with no small coffee table to hold drinks. We travel a lot, this is one of the most difficult room to handle. BUT the staffs are wonderful: especially the dinning room Teresa and Christiane; attentive, polite and effective..thank youâ

âVi var 6 personer pĂ„ affĂ€rsresa till Porto och vi hittade ett bra erbjudande pĂ„ Torel AvantGarde som lĂ„g ca 10-15 min promenad frĂ„n absoluta centrum, vilket var ett bekvĂ€mt avstĂ„nd. Servicen pĂ„ hotellet Ă€r den bĂ€sta jag har varit med om och hotellmiljön likasĂ„. Det Ă€r lyxigt men samtidigt vĂ€ldigt mysigt, och en fantastisk utsikt frĂ„n restaurangen och poolen. Det fanns bra gemensamma ytor dĂ€r vi kunde ha avslappnade affĂ€rsmöten, men det fanns ocksĂ„ möjlighet att hyra rum (dock dyrt). Frukosten...

"The reason to book HF Ipanema park is that it is not in the city centre and that is has an outside pool. The problem is that by the outside pool they play ridiculously loud music. Which makes sense at night but not during the day. So the calmness you are looking for during the day with some music in the background ends up being so loud music that in hurts your ears. When we asked if they could lower the music they responded that they are not allowed from management. So I would never stay at this hotel again for this sole reason and if you are staying hear, bring good earplugs for the pool area. The music is also really bad background music that you hear in stores where you buy clothes but a lot louder. They also raise the music during the day in intervalls.
Overall hotel. Not five stars even though measured in Portuguese measures. Very unhelpful personnel, except maybe in the restaurant. It seems that none who work there are happy with their place of work. Any question was met with short and ridiculed answers. I asked for conditioner for the hair and the response was ânoâ with a smirky smile like I was stupid. No I would not recommend this hotel. It needs a change in management. Rooms are clean according to Spanish/portugese standards. Gym area and inside pool nice. Breakfast with fresh fruits but not a wow moment. "
