Just a short drive from St Louis to Bourbon Missouri and you can get away from it all. Located on 40 acres you can enjoy a peaceful property overlooking open meadows, running creek, wildlife and your own spring fed lake. Blue Springs Ranch is close by where you can swim, canoe, horseback ride and enjoy other activities. In Bourbon you will find a coffee shop, restaurants , health food store, bicycle shop, grocery store, and ice-cream parlor and other small town stores. The chateau has a large covered porch where you can view wildlife, watch geese sit on the porch swing or hang out around the fire pit on a cool evening. Take a hike, feed the fish or just relax. This property is wonderful. It had everything we needed and more! We stayed 3 nights and had all the comforts of home in a beautiful setting. We cooked ourselves breakfast each morning and loved the cookware so much we may buy some. And we had enough towels for a family of 4 to not have to do any laundry for 3 days. The frontage property was so beautiful, we used as a backdrop for some fall family pictures! Would recommend over and over !

We had a fantastic stay. The chateau was clean, spacious, and well stocked. Our kids especially enjoyed fishing on the pond on the property. Our hosts communicated ahead of time to answer our questions and made sure we had everything we needed. A few days after our trip, our two year old asked when we were going back to the "other house" - answer: soon!

We were in Bourbon, MO for a wedding at the Blue Springs Ranch. This place fit the bill and when we pulled up and walked in, I realized this was one of those rare places where the in-person experience was better than even the photos! You feel like you’re in a Joanna Gaines Fixer Upper designed house with every single detail thought out. Quality linens, a porch swing that you would see on Instagram and an even larger outdoor luxe living area. We were so grateful to have this oasis of peace and beauty to come back to as we did all the wedding stuff. HIGHLY recommend.

We enjoyed the fantastic getaway, the name speaks for itself. “The Hidden Gem”, an exquisite retreat that perfectly showcases the stunning natural beauty of Missouri. Our nights were enriched by the serene sounds of nature and a sky ablaze with stars. During the day, we enjoyed the lush greenery and peaceful pond.

Dreamy Set-up!

This property is amazing!! It is not just decorated beautifully, but all the little details have been thought out. You can cook or bake virtually anything you want with everything provided in the kitchen. Then take that to multiple eating areas outside with fans to keep you cool & the bugs away. Afterwards relax on the supersized swing with a view that belongs on a desktop background. This place was so wonderful we referred a friend before we had left.

Amazing!! This place really is a Hidden Gem. We rented it for a Father’s Day float and it was absolutely perfect!! The house itself was beautifully decorated with anything you could need or want! The host left fresh spring water in the fridge for us and delicious muffins. The porch, the view…so beautiful and peaceful, overlooking a fishing pond where you can feed the fish or catch and release. We saw deer and turkey. I really didn’t want to leave the porch swing. We were less than 2 miles from Blue Springs Ranch where we floated. Beds are comfy. Upstairs had a split unit to keep the upstairs bedroom heated or cooled. Everything was absolutely perfect…10/10 recommend!!!

Fantastic Getaway

A beautiful property with gorgeous views. The fishing was great and the lake has a large deck for easy fishing. House was very nicely decorated and outside porches were comfortable. Loved the swing and the fireplace- we had a wonderful relaxing time. Will definitely be back!

The Chateau is exactly what you see in the pictures & more. This is the 2nd time I've rung in the new year here. Daily hikes in the woods, walks around the pond and visits to various antique stores are my happy places! Would do this every year if I could
