“The rooms were very inexpensive. They were very small. But clean and the beds were a lot more comfortable than most of the beds I’m finding in the UK. The bathrooms and kitchen were meticulously clean and organized. The kitchen had and oven, stove, microwave, coffee makers and every utensil, pot, pan, or sheet I’d need to cook. The only down side is there’s no plates, bowls to put my food in. I had to eat the food out of the pans I cooked them in. And the can opener doesn’t work. But those are...

“This is our second stay at the Talbot, first was late summer 2024. Atm, the pub part of the hotel is closed and meals were not offered. Local gossip said the hotel was being used for asylum/immigrants, I saw no evidence of this and the clients seemed to be mostly couples and businesses. Dad and I stayed in a twin room, it had a large shower, no bath, desk, tv (not in hotel mode so streaming stick was easy to use), slightly larger than sister’s double.
