Twin Lakes Retreat has everything needed to make you feel at home in the perfect lakeside retreat

- Kayaks, paddleboat and life jackets are provided so you can enjoy the peace of Twin Lakes
- Have fun fishing right off the dock, or take advantage of the fantastic fishing opportunities through both North and South Twin Lakes
- Access Itasca County’s vast snowmobile trail system directly from the house either north or South of the cottage. There is plenty of room in our driveway for your trailer and it’s only a short ride to access the trails
- Three bedrooms plus our 3-season sunroom with a daybed provide space for your entire group
- Two bathrooms on the main floor
- Full washer and dryer
- Enjoy a cozy fire in the outdoor wood firepit or indoor gas fireplace

The full property, house and garage are available for your use so please make yourself feel at home! You will have easy access with a keypad for self check-in.

I give my guests space but am available when needed.

Please let me know if there is anything that will make your stay better. It is my goal that this space be an escape and retreat for you however I am available at all times for emergencies and during standard hours to answer and resolve any non-emergency issues.

It is extremely helpful to have good contact information available for a member of your party in the event I need to contact you to resolve issues or provide information. If we need to stop by for any reason I will do my best to contact you ahead of time but we will keep any disruptions to an absolute minimum.

Please plan to launch any personal motorized watercraft at the public lake access on the north-east side of the lake. Directions: 1.5 miles N on hwy 169, then S on Cnty Rd 69/Twin Lakes Drive, then .25 mi W to access & public beach

Just 20 minutes from Downtown Grand Rapids and 10 minutes from downtown Coleraine/Bovey, a short drive will bring you to the best local brews at Smoke on the Water, Rapids Brewing and Klockow Brewing Co, food and wine at award winning UnWined Up North and coffee shops like Brewed Awakenings as well as many local shops and much more!

- 20 minutes to bike, or snowshoe Tioga Mountain recreation trails
- Less than 5 minutes from the Mesabi bike and snowmobile trail system access in Marble or Taconite
- Just 20 minutes to the IRA Civic Center

We have cameras monitoring the front entry area of the house for the security of our guests and our property

Please note: both bathrooms are on the main floor. There is not a bathroom on the second floor.

We have weekly professional lawn service and snow removal as needed. They may be onsite for 1-2 hours during your stay. Dates and times vary depending on weather and demand.

Kayaks, paddleboat,and life jackets are available for your use. Please take care and observe safety precautions during your use.
Please be sure to review all house rules when booking! Home is located in a peaceful & quiet lake community. All guests staying at the home must be considerate of others in the neighboring area. Noise disturbances will not be tolerated.(quiet hours are between 10pm-7am)
Extra guest fees will be charged if more than noted guests stay the night as cleaning/laundry costs go up
No parties or events
No Illegal Substances
Smoking is allowed outdoors take care to dispose of any smoking related refuse responsibly - a $200 penalty will be charged for violations or debris discovered and disposed of by our cleaning crew
All Guests must be registered, if the size of your party changes please contact us Additional Guests (beyond 6 guests) may be allowed with permission and for an additional fee - Please contact us with questions
Remove shoes while indoors

No Fireworks
All outdoor fires must remain contained in the fire pit - and no more than 3 feet tall
Please check the MN DNR fire warnings and restrictions before burning and adhere to any burning limitations or restrictions as needed. We thank you for helping us protect our forests!
Please DO NOT flush anything except toilet paper down the toilet
No cooking oil down any drains
No sporting equipment allowed inside the cabin
Please return all furnishings to their original positions
Please clean grill if you used it during your stay
Use only firewood that is provided or firewood you purchase. ABSOLUTELY NO cutting of firewood on the property or adjacent properties is allowed.
No burning of trash or any other materials besides firewood.
Please be courteous when engaging in outdoor sports - especially mountain biking - and shower before going to bed. Some of the local soil is very mineral rich and those minerals love to stain our bedding. Thank you!

PET RULES:
We are happy to welcome dogs with additional pet deposit - TWO DOGS MAXIMUM - we can not accommodate cats
Please keep your dogs OFF of the furniture
Please plan to kennel your dogs if they are left alone in the house
Please pick up all pet waste (use provided pet waste bags) and dispose inside a trash bag in the outdoor trash cans.
Plan to supervise your pets carefully and keep them on a leash for their safety. There is abundant wildlife as well as other dogs in the area.
