Affärshotell i Bowness-on-Windermere

“.”

“Good location set slightly back from the busier areas of Bowness. An easy walk to the pier or a short walk to the bus stop up the hill for buses to Windermere and beyond. We particularly liked the 'green' drinks scheme where you could get a drink per room occupant instead of a daily room clean. The cooked breakfast options were excellent and the lunch / evening menu offered enough to make it easy to stay in if we didn't have the energy to go out. The summer menu was introduced mid-stay and that...

“Strange entrance to our room as had to hold the fire door open and room door to get the cases in. Room was clean as was bathroom although bath panel very scruffy. Due to the style of sink turning the tap on causes a tidal wave and wets you through so have to use cautiously! Had to pay for parking as didn’t book directly with hotel.”

“Nice building but staff are matter of fact! Parking is not good because it is used by the public too.”

“Extremely friendly staff, made us feel very welcome! Lovely spacious room & really good shower, nice big comfortable bed & peaceful stay, big private balcony, breakfast was amazing!! Not a problem but room & balcony could do with a little updating & bbc channels didn't work properly due to signal but we had a lovely stay. Very close to village & lake, excellent location & would definitely stay again if we are in Windermere”

“Not very easy to park due to short street ”

“The location of the property was perfect. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and trails. Having the parking permit was also a bonus. The kitchen was not clean and we were greeted by a dishwasher full of disgusting dishes. The pots and pans cupboard smelled disgusting therefore we bought our own frying pan and pots. There was no hand washing soap and 1 roll of toilet paper, no paper towel. We had to go to a local tesco to buy supplies. We didn’t expect a whole weeks supply but a few rolls of...

“Hot tub shuts off at 11pm, and at that point have to go indoors. Its nice to have a choice of late night if want to. Little restricting”

“Great location close to shops, very well equipped kitchen, USB wall plugs a plus, with good lighting throughout. Full size refrigerator. Car parking was unpredictable and dependent on vacant spaces as no dedicated space for the unit. Dish washer in kitchen but no clothes washing machine (although they did provide an air drying frame). Access was via fairly narrow 2 flights of stairs and would be challenging for less mobile visitors. There was some noise transmitted , particularly from the...

“The apartment is beautifully decorated, very cozy, located away from busy streets but very close to the high street. Host Vickie was very welcoming and friendly. When we booked it on hotels.com it wasn’t made clear that this a basement level apartment with its own entrance but part of family home upstairs with that it came with a few downsides we didn’t expect. The most impactful was the noise upstairs, each morning at 7 am you can hear the kids run around and the dog bark which would set our...

“The lodge itself is lovely, it’s spacious and has so much potential but Cleanliness was a let down for us. We arrived 30 minutes after the allotted check-in time to a property that hadn’t been cleaned. Dirty towels on the floor, beds not made and the floor was filthy. They arrived 10 minutes after us to clean the property which was done in about half hour, if that - so to us it didn’t feel clean enough and left us slightly unsettled for the rest of our stay, we still spotted clumps of hair and...
