Welcome to Birch Cottage, our family's home away from home! We hope you fall in love with it as much as we have. This family cottage fits us perfectly with room to spare for extra family members and friends. It is a special place to make lifelong memories. The house is nestled in the Pinehurst Shores neighborhood outside Boyne City, Michigan in a quiet, peaceful, setting with access to beautiful Lake Charlevoix and beach just a short walk away. Located in a gorgeous, quiet neighborhood neighboring Young State Park. Beautiful local "secret" beach (Kim Park) at the end of Nelson Road (an easy walk from the house). Walking or biking distance to downtown Boyne City on the paved path.

We chose Boyne City as our second home because we felt it is a perfect blend of all the best things to experience: beauty of nature, fun, relaxation. BC is near other wonderful destinations like Charlevoix, Traverse City, Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Leland, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, and Mackinac Island. From strolling the quaint downtown shops and restaurants, browsing an art fair, festival or farmer’s market, fishing, golf, boating and water sports on Lake Charlevoix in the summer, to exploring the many wineries and trails in the fall to skiing, tubing and ice-skating in the winter, there is something for everyone no matter the season. Most recently, Boyne Mountain’s new Skybridge, the world’s longest timber-towered suspension bridge. Offering Panoramic valley views and extensive light displays, definitely a camera pleaser and must see!

Our cozy but spacious home offers 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. Natural light-filled living room with large natural fireplace opens to dining area and kitchen with new gas stove and new refrigerator. Mudroom has new Maytag front load washer and dryer. Main level bedroom has a full bed and large closet. Upper level has 2 spacious rooms. Main bedroom has a queen bed and small office area. Third bedroom has two twin beds and two pull out trundle beds. 2 Smart TVs and high-speed wireless internet allows access for work or entertainment. New floors throughout. Bathrooms have been totally renovated. Central air and heat ensure comfortable temperature year-round. A large deck, Weber gas grill, dining table and chairs and bonfire pit make for lovely outdoor entertaining and dining. Nearby Young State Park offers additional beach area, biking and hiking trails.
