Please read before other Reviews
I booked this house well in advance before I had read any reviews. I read the reviews the day before we were heading up and started to get a little worried. However, when we arrived we were very happy with the accommodations. We had plenty of tissue, trash bags, silver wear, and space. The table seats 9-10 and the living room furniture was very spacious compared to other condos. We spent a lot of time cooking from lasagna to prime rib and found the kitchen accommodating for a short term rental. Surprised to even find a cheese grater. Anyways, this was perfect for 2 families. The kids loved the loft (the 4th bedroom) but I wouldn’t plan to put a third family in there unless they go to sleep early. Great location, can watch the fireworks right from the balcony! We have stayed at the Mountain Villas in various condos at least 6 times over the last 4 years.

Nice place - hard to find
We enjoyed our time at this property, but it wasn't easy to find. I was emailed "directions" which gave an address that they acknowledged "The condo address xxx may not show up correctly on GPS". This is very true. The welcome letter didn't include any more helpful information either, because it lists a number for the condo (which is on the door), but the buildings are all LETTERED. When we arrived, we couldn't find the condo we were supposed to be in. I ended up going into the resort and having someone lookup information. That led us to a listing on another website which indicated the LETTER building we were looking for. Arriving in the dark (and the rain) certainly didn't help because this area is poorly lit. Sending text messages with questions went unanswered until we had figured everything out on our own. Calling just rang and rang and rang without an answer. In the end we were emailed very good information on directions, building letter, and location of the unit in the building. It's very confusing as to why that information wasn't communicated up front. Outside of stressing out about finding the place the unit was nice. The only downside we saw was the master bedroom is very bright in the morning as there are no window coverings for the top half of the floor to ceiling windows.

Hi Rich, So sorry to hear you had such a hard time finding the condo. Since it doesn't come up on GPS we do supply very specific instruction on how to get to the condo, that is sounds like were later sent. I was looking into your account to review the issue since those same instructions should be sent prior to your stay and it appeared that the auto -message that provides those instructions ahead of time was not able to send due to a technical issue. I apologize we did not recognize that ahead of time, but this is not the norm! We hope to have an opportunity to host you again! Thanks, Carrie

Laundry Facilities
Unfortunately we had an issue where we had to wash an article of clothing about an hour before we had to leave to attend a wedding in Charlevoix and after washing the item we discovered the dryer did not work and so we had to hang the item out on the deck in the sun to dry but it did NOT try in time so the person took the item with them and when they arrived at the site of the wedding he put on very damp clothing that had not tried in the waist and pocket area's. We checked the dryer and noticed the filter was in very bad shape. We realize it is a older dryer and may not have replacement parts available but the material that the filter is made of can be easily purchased and cut to size to fit the dryer. The condo is obviously older but other than the dryer issue is was very comfortable. I don't understand why the address shows up as 02525 because we could not pull it up on GPS until we removed the 0 in front of the 2525 so it caused us to make a second trip to the area because we wanted to be sure where it was and time it would take to get to wedding location. I would recommend it to anyone.

My husband was doing some training at Boyne, so we joined him as a family. The condo was very nice and well appointed. Our only issue was with finding food items under the couch and in the bedroom but we reached out to the property manager and they were very responsive and even offered to have it recleaned. I imagine that issue will not be one in the future.

Boyne review

Nice place to stay. Great pool a short walk away. Quiet place. We did have problems locking and unlocking the unit as well as problems with the thermostat staying at a steady temp. It had everything we needed for a weekend away!

Great short stay in Boyne
Boyne holds a special place for our family so to find a cheap rate before the busy season starts was great. Also each of my kids got their one room. Boys golfed and swam. Place was nice, we had a few issues with the door keypad not working and just had to keep trying and had to wait for it to work but other than that, it was great and also nice it’s the end unit.

The stay was great. The property owner/manager was very quick to respond on a couple small things we were having trouble with (dryer, dishwasher) The location was really nice with a free shuttle throughout the resort that runs until 11pm. I would definitely book again.

Had a great time
Five guys for a long ski weekend, so we didn't even use all the beds. Condo is upper unit, so was a bit concerned about that since we're loud talkers once the juice starts flowing. But there's a hall in-between the left/right units (four total in each building), and apparently the people below us either didn't hear or didn't mind. Lift is a two minute walk straight behind the building on the left as you're looking at the place from the lot, and the RFID kiosk is the closest building to that, so really convenient. If you plan on visiting any of the main resort restaurants and entertainment, you want to stay on this side so you can readily walk. We looked at Disciple side condos, but you have to take a shuttle. No thanks. And the night skiing is over on this side, so there's that too. Skiing was good, it was our first time here. I had a few nit-pick things I mentioned directly to the owner, but they were so small that I'm sure those will be readily addressed as the owner is very attentive. Check info was thorough and provided directly via the VRBO app. Easy drive from Ohio. There's a Family Fare grocery store see to the right when you get off 75, and some other one on the right side of the highway a minute or so toward the mountain if you need beer/ice, etc, The freezer has an ice maker, but they clean it out, of course, so bring some for the first day or as needed. The kitchen was decently stocked and they provided three spare trash bags and one roll of paper towels. Plan according to your needs. Living area is pleasant and the large stool height table was great for gathering. We didn't have a single problem. Bedrooms were comfortable and bathrooms were clean with no issues. Bath towels were a bit on the rough/cheap side, another nit-pick I didn't mention, but more than adequate if you're not a Nancy. Great place. Highly recommended.

Read below
Was a great place to rest our heads and a kept us warm from the freezing elements outside. We appreciated the cable television along with the warm fireplace. Unfortunately, we needed to clean the dishes before using them as they had dryed food on them. There was only 1 kitchen towel with dirty potholders. Toilet were dirty and toilet paper was scarce. They was an inappropriate object on the floor in the master bedroom. Also, there was not enough silverware for our family. All In all we did make it work but we’re disappointed.

A Great Weekend at Boyne Mountain
We loved this place! It had enough beds for our entire group. The fireplace was an added bonus after skiing. We were within walking distance to Boyneland and Avalanche Bay. Carrie was a lovely host. She was quick to respond and gave us all the information needed to make it a perfect weekend.

Great Experience!
We booked a skiing weekend for family and friends and this condo did not disappoint. The check-in process was smooth and the property was exactly as portrayed…clean, cozy, and decorated with nice upgrades and decorative touches. Although the gate code given was incorrect, upon calling the owner this was remedied quickly. We appreciated having access to the abundance of kitchen supplies and the availability of spices for cooking. The location was perfect for walking to the slopes. Looking forward to returning in the future!

Color Tour
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It worked well, having 2 bathrooms, for our family group, and enough sleeping spaces for privacy, when needed. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cook pans. One highlight was learning about the Golf Cart rental to take on specified trails throughout the mountain property. The color and views were amazing. This location is ideal for reaching other beauty spots, as well.

Great stay, walkable to Boyneland. Comfortable beds, nice layout to enjoy family time, meals and tv. TV has access to cable so that was nice for March Madness... however, took quite awhile to get the living room tv settings to watch on as it was all messed up. Bring extra silverware as there is limited silverware available. Ample dishes otherwise. The owners are very responsive and helpful.

Our family VRBO experience at Boyne Mtn resort in Boyne Falls was a positive one. We enjoyed the spaciousness of our condo and the great late winter ski conditions for both weekend days. We appreciated the thorough communication from the condo owner as we organized and planned for our trip. We would suggest a few things to make the VRBO experience for the next renters a positive one as well. · Stock some boxes of Kleenex in the bathrooms · Make sure the potholders aren’t soiled – we experienced that · Cookware was marginal in some cases – fry pans were warped and domed in the center · Correct the loose pantry door handle · Replace the burned-out light bulb in the fridge · Adjust family room TV picture to fit the screen – it was like a 40” picture spilling over the edges of a 32” TV · It would be nice to have had a cutting board supplied as one of the kitchen items · A good oven cleaning would be welcomed · The dish soap dispenser was non-functional – had to unscrew the top and pour from the bottle · Some of the glassware in the cabinet wasn’t clean We’ve been impressed with the value we’ve obtained with our VRBO accommodations in the past. We look forward to future stays with VRBO.

Loved this place. Just a short (2-3 min) walk through the back of the property to the main lifts, so it's easy to come and go throughout the day. Unit itself was clean and comfortable. Owner is readily available by text if you have questions.

Great condo! Tons of bedroom space and the living area is very nice and has everything you would ever need for a stay. It's nice having a washer/dryer right in the unit and came in handy during our stay. It's really close to the pool and a short walk/very quick drive to the main resort which is awesome.

2nd rental-reserving 3rd now
This condo is awesome. I usually have 10 family members coming and it accommodates us all very well. We usually have breakfast at the condo before hitting the slopes and all the necessary kitchen supplies are provided. It's just a short walk to the Disciples chair lift and the main / grand lodge. We have had pizza delivered or get it from the Trophy room. This is a great vacation for my family & grandchildren.
