TillÄt dig sjÀlv lite lyx och vara miljövÀnlig samtidigt! Villa Matija (uttalas ma-TEE-ya) sitter ovanför Brewers Bay med en enastÄende utsikt över Jost Van Dyke och flera andra mindre holmar och öar. PÄ en klar dag kan du se Puerto Rico (ca 70 miles away)!

Bo pÄ Villa Matija och njuta av skönheten och behagligt klimat i VÀstindien med alla bekvÀmligheter i ett hem till hands. Villa Matija Àr mycket bekvÀmt för upp till fyra personer. Huset har tvÄ master sviter bara, en med en privat dÀck och utomhusdusch, den andra med direkt tillgÄng till villans veranda, dÀck och pool. Den nedre sovrummet kan stÀllas in med en king size-sÀng eller tvÄ tvillingar. Detta gör Villa Matija perfekt för tvÄ par eller en familj pÄ fyra personer. Ett modernt kök och hemmabio / vardagsrum med en 58 "plasma-TV och surroundljud gör det ett bra stÀlle att stanna hemma och koppla av. Generösa utomhus flödar utan anstrÀngning i att ge kÀnslan av att vara utanför medan insidan eller tvÀrtom om du föredrar (stora nÀr det finns en förbipasserande regn!)

Villa Matija Àr delvis drivs med solenergi med tvÄ solar varmvatten paneler och tolv solceller (PV) paneler. I stÀllet för en generator som drivs av fossila brÀnslen Villa Matija har en alternativ energikÀlla som kan drivas huset för blygsamma mÀngder av tid med lite uppmÀrksamhet och en hel del tid med noggrann energihantering. Och oroa dig inte, Àr vÄr sol varmvatten backas upp av en traditionell varmvattenberedare som ger ett rikligt utbud av varmvatten oavsett vilken tid pÄ dagen du behöver duscha. Medan bÄda sovrummen har luftkonditionering, vi uppmuntrar vÄra gÀster att lÀmna windows öppet pÄ natten med flÀkten pÄ och AC för att uppleva det lokala klimatet. De flesta kvÀllar Àr svala med mycket trevlig sovande vÀder.

Brewers Bay Beach, en av de vackraste i BVI, Àr bara en tre minuters bilresa nedför backen. Cane Garden Bay, en annan favorit BVI stranden, en kort 10 minuters bilresa. Road Town, Àr huvudstad i BVI ocksÄ en 10 minuters bilresa bort, men nÀr du Àr pÄ Villa Matija, du tycker du Àr i en annan vÀrld!

Great Location on Tortola

Great stay from start to the end! Great location and unbeatable view. Easy access to Brewers bay and Cane Garden bay. The House was very clean and well maintained which is tough in a tropical environment. The host Tom met us in Road Town and guided us to the house, which was much appreciated! We had no issues or concerns during our stay, I highly recommend Villa Matija!

Spring Break in Brewers Bay

What a view!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in Tortola. The hosts met to escort us to the house to ensure we found it. The house was well stocked with anything you need. We especially enjoyed having breakfast with the best views we found on the island. We would stay here again if our travels bring us to BVI in the future.

Great Brewers Bay stay!

Loved the property/location! 5 min drive to the beach at Brewers Bay. Great outside space at the house with amazing views- particularly sunset! Tom was a great host- our plane in was late and he was great about meeting us later to take us up to the house. We like to cook and the kitchen was well equipped! Pool was awesome as well! Easy to get into Road Town for provisions/shopping. Perfect location if you like quiet and peaceful!

Great rental with beautiful views

The Villa is in good shape. We had an immediate issue with the air conditioning but repair crew was sent immediately and it was resolved. Having said that, the A/C was rarely used as the house catches great breezes at night. There are steps throughout as is typical for a Tortola property but something to consider with small children or the elderly. Kitchen well stocked and nothing was needed. Property well taken care of and would happily rent here again.

Great Space, Great views

Perfect house for 2 couples. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy. Wonderful afternoon sun. Well outfitted. Very responsive owners. A difficult walk to the beach. Need a car! Would not hesitate to book again.

A view to die for!

Tom as a host was great! Great communication and just a friendly human. The house was great! Other than needing to stain some weathered exterior woodwork, the house fantastic. The house comes well equipped with everything you need for a stay. Thank again Tom and family!

Wonderful views

Very accurate description. Delightful sunset views. Hire car essential, preferably SUV, we had requested one but were downgraded on arrival and an intermediate is not suitable for BVI roads!! Tom’s driveway is steep and, through no fault of his, we grounded out so ended up parking our car in the gateway! Loved Brewers Bay beach, we preordered groceries from Riteway which worked very well. Would highly recommend Capprccio Di Mare for great pasta in Road Town, doesn’t look special from the outside but food was great, as was Tramonti at the Sugar Mill. Would definitely return.

Great Place - Post Charter

Nice home with a great view. Everything worked which was a plus. We brought our Apple lightning plug to HDMI converter so we could watch TV. The hosts were wonderful and communicated well. Make sure your rental car has enough power
 steep hills to and from the house. Like most homes in the islands, there is a little deferred maintenance, but overall the house was clean and well equipped. Relaxing stay and would stay there again.

Perfectly stunning.

Tom greeted us immediately after departing the ferry. He gave us a choice of the scenic route or direct to the villla, we opted for the direct route. Be prepared for a drive filled with switch backs and intense incline grades. Upon arrival our immediate response to the villa was simply breath taking. The outside area arund the villa is secluded enough to make you feel immediately relaxed, while the light breeze and distant rolling waves keep your attention on the beautiful Brewers Bay below. The villa is also centrally located on the island so it is an easy commute to all the beaches and restaurants. Tom was attentive to our questions and concerns with ferry schedules and restaurant suggestions. We enjoyed our stay at this postcard worthy retreat!

Great Home Great Owners

Our stay, was exactly how we thought it would be
. Beautiful. Homeowners Thomas and Jessica lead us to the Villa, and explained anything we had questions about. The house was very clean, comfortable, and had the most amazing view. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay, and again the owners were two of the nicest people we have ever met.

Villa Matija beauty

We had an amazing time. Villa Matija was everything we expected! Everything we needed for our stay and more. The view cannot be beat! Thanks Tom! Hope to see you again! Thanks for the tip to use Islandtime Boat Rentals! Julien and his crew were outstanding. They hooked us up with Maqeen Hastings as a captain! Now he was amazing! Friend for life and when we return next time We will be having him as our Captain!

Gorgeous view, missing important basics, needs attention to detail

We've stayed at a lot of VRBO properties - chosen based on reviews so I am going to be thorough so others are aware before booking. First the good: The owner made great recommendations & was responsive. He met us in town & escorted us to the property - very much appreciated since we would have never found it on our own (no street signs). The view was spectacular & the pool was a nice feature. New beach chairs & umbrella were appreciated. Not so great - the gas grill was rusted out, extremely dirty & didn't heat properly. There were no blankets. Only sheets & a bedspread. Neither of the safes worked. The kitchen had basic utensils & metal pans (one of the nonstick pans needed replacement) but no microwave-safe cookware & nothing to store leftovers in. Only one dish towel & a half roll of paper towels was provided. The pot holders had food on them & one was shredded. We were disappointed new, more comfortable chairs were placed on the 2nd-floor balconies which did not have any views or breezes because of the solid walls & low seating. It was difficult to enjoy the main deck for any length of time because there were only hardwood chairs without cushions. The wood lounge chairs had thin cushions but had a lot of black mold on them. The style of the house is interesting but even with doors and screens shut, there were gaps that allowed insects and spiders to enter. The main lamp in the living area was damaged and peeling. As others mentioned, the place needs an update. We don't expect perfection but this property offered much less than any other property we've stayed in - especially for the price. The owner seemed like a nice person & may have responded had we contacted him while we were there but it would have only detracted from the limited time we had to relax. These are things a simple inspection and minimum attention to detail should have revealed and prompted a host to address prior to any guest staying here. Had we known these were issues prior to booking we would have chosen a different property.

Could not ask for more!

What a beautiful place. The house is well laid out and well thought out. We spent a week on a catamaran then spent 4 days at this wonderful house. Tom was easy to get in touch with and a pleasure to deal with. This property had everything we needed and was the perfect place to just chill. We’re going to miss it but we look forward to returning one day.

Gorgeous Home Away from Home

Villa Matija is a beautiful home in an excellent location overlooking gorgeous Brewer’s Bay. The refreshing infinity pool was a huge bonus after beaching all day. Tom was so helpful with check in leading us to the property and setting us all up. An epic property at a reasonable price. Perfect for 2 couples💜

Great time at Villa Matija!

My family and I rented this property for our vacation and it was gorgeous! The view is incredible and Tom was great as well! Driveway is not as scary as it seems either. Beautiful property and enjoyed great sunsets. Make sure to bring a Bluetooth speaker if you want to enjoy music on the deck. Would highly recommend

Beautiful Home

My husband and I were completely in awe of the property! Thomas was very accommodating. Thomas assisted us with locating a car rental place after meeting us at the ferry. The rental was in an immaculate condition. One time my husband and I got lost driving and Thomas gave us thorough directions. We appreciated you Thomas. The only con were a few ants in upper level bathroom. That was an easy resolve because there was ant spray on the premises. I give this rental property a 10 out of 10! In addition, the property is on a hill but with the most beautiful view!

Million dollar view

The house is well equipped with all that you need. The kitchen has all the gadgets that cooks will enjoy. The photos you saw do it justice, what you see is what you get. Tom was outstanding to work with and quite the host if you’re looking for a private getaway this is your place. Would say the roosters could be a little annoying at times specially at six in the morning
