Good ground-floor apartment in a safe quiet area. Excellent beach a few minutes walk away, although not many restaurants within walking distance, but close to bus stops Shawn is an excellent host and gave us a good price for picking us up from the airport and taking us to the cruise terminal when we left.

We enjoyed staying here. Easy communication with our hosts. Had everything we needed for our stay. Easy access to everything. Near the beach and easy to get to other areas of the island. Would stay here again in the future.

Wonderful vacation at Believe Caribbean Apartment.
We had a wonderful vacation in Barbados and much of that was due to Shawn’s making sure we had what we needed. He also have wonderful tours of the island and was a wealth of information.

The apartment is charming and you get an authentic experience. The host is welcoming and friendly, and he is communicative. The property is just 3 minutes from the most beautiful beach. Great location. The neighborhood isn’t the best and the property only has AC in the bedroom, and it makes loud noises at night. It was hard to sleep. I would say that was the biggest downfall. Had a good stay otherwise!

Easy communication with the owner who talked us through the check in. The apartment is in the real Barbados surrounded with local residential properties. It’s a 15minute walk to the beach and local bars $50 taxi to the Airport. I wouldn’t recommend this apartment for long stays but a couple of overnight stops waiting for flights or cruise ships its ideal. If you want 5 star luxury this is not the place if you want to experience the real Barbados definitely spend a few nights here.

The host shawn was very pleasant and always returned my calls in a timely manner.The area is quiet and as a female by myself,I felt safe.Public transportation is nearby to go into the city and the bypass bus is neary by if you want to go to the North of the island.Or you want to go to oistins to experience local cuisine. The beach is nearby.

It was in an area that is home to many locals. We never felt unsafe or worried about where we were at. The manager responded to our messages and assisted us in getting a very early morning taxi cab. The walk to the beach was 0.5 miles, but it wasn’t unpleasant.

Would not stay again even if free.
Communication with the property owners/ managers was great and they were very friendly and helpful. That being said, a lot was lacking, despite the low price. There were only 2 towels and a bathroom floor towel. No washcloths or hand towels. I think they forgot to put a blanket on the bed? It was just a sheet and nowhere in the place was there another blanket and I had to sleep with my towel. It was very strange. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on. At 36 I felt 86 with how my back and hips hurt. Don't forget to bring ear plugs for the roosters that congregate outside the patio in the morning. Very strange bathroom. You can barely wash your hands because the faucet is so far off in the corner. The toilet barely flushes and the mirror was apparently hung for people under 5'4 only. I did expect it not to be "perfect" at the super cheap price but I am perplexed by the high reviews left prior to my stay.

Hi Rachel, Thank you for the feedback, however we do regret to hear of the issues you have had via this medium since we were in communication with you. We generally provide the standard bed linen (bottom and top sheets) and towels (two bath towels, one floor towel and a hand towel) but additional blankets and towels are provided only on request. We do not provide wash cloths at our apartments. The sounds of the morning roosters are an authentic sound in Caribbean villages. Some appreciate it, others do not. It lasts for a few seconds to a minute or two at most. We do indicate on our website that we are located in a quiet but authentic bajan community. We encourage our guests to communicate with us before and during their stay and to indicate any way we can help make their stay more comfortable. Most find us very accommodating as we always seek to ensure our guests' highest comfort. Sincerely Verna Knight (Booking Manager)

The apartment was clean, comfortable and had every amenity that you required. The address was quiet and well located. It is in the suburbs so we had the opportunity to meet some very interesting people and enjoy the local cuisine and drinks. A quick walk too you right to the beach and activities including snorkeling and swimming with the turtles. The property manager Shawn, was exceptionally helpful and informative. Would recommend this place if you wish to avoid hordes of tourists and mingle with the real Bajan people.

I was extremely disappointed with the entire experience with the exception of the taxi service that the hotel facilitated to and from the airport. Upon arrival at the airport, I learnt that management had made arrangements for me to be sent to another accommodation elsewhere. My room was already occupied. This is quite unprofessional. I had chosen this guesthouse based on the reviews and because I had specific requirements. I am evaluating the overall experience relating to how the hotel managed my booking. I am therefore very unable to rate the cleanliness

Hi, Thank you for the feedback. We again offer our sincere apologies for the booking mishap. This ocurred during one of our busiest CropOver festival time in Barbados. When we realized what had happened we immediately secured an alternative that was rated similarly to us in standards and of similar cost, had our driver pickup the guest from the airport and ensured one of our hosts accompanied the guest to the new location to ensure she was safely settled. Pickup was also organized to take the guest back to the airport the next day. We were sincerely regretful that we were unable to accomodate this stay, but did all we could under the circumstances. We loved the local community where the apartment is located. Mixing it with the beautiful people of Barbados is great. Shawn and verna are super friendly and happy to help with places to go and eat and have fun! Shawn picked us up from the airport and made a couple of stops along the way back to the apartment for us. Not being typical “tourists”, even though we are visitors, it was perfect for us. The apartment is clean, comfortable and we really felt relaxed and “at home” here. Thanks Shawn and Verna! We will definitely try and book here again in the future!

When i arrived i was very impressed . Clean and comfort felt like home away from home. My kids loved it and were sad to leave..if i ever return to Barbados...i would love to stay there again.
