Not worth the money
The pictures online are really old pictures of the property, which actually shows the property in a good condition. The sea blast is doing a number on the condition of the property and there seems to be no to little maintenance of the same. I had to request access to a room with a functional AC unit (which I was informed was not part of the package). I was there for only 1 day for business, I needed the use of an Iron, an Ironing Board and hangers which where not available. I got locked out of the bathroom and had a very difficult time getting assistance as I was not able to get anyone on the phone. I eventually saw some guy who came to the compound and I asked him to get in touch with management for me. I hope I never have to stay overnight in Barbados again.

Liza, sorry we couldnt please you as we always try to please and we have please many before you. The property is by the sea . .Yes the sea does a lot of damage and maintenance is always happening so it is not fair to say none is happening. You locked yourself out of the bathroom and was assisted when maintenance was informed.

Poor section of town
The property was very well taken care of and very clean, but the overwhelming sense was of decay. The ancient microwave would work for only two minutes and then it would short out. The automatic light on the gas stove didn’t work, and there were no matches. The sliding door out to the front porch didn’t work, so there was really nowhere to sit down and eat at a table. All of the windows have bars screwed onto them, and in case of fire you would simply be out of luck unless you were able to open the door with a key. we walked 48 minutes to get to a decent restaurant. The nearby convenience store was out of almost everything, so putting together a meal from there was next to impossible. No screens on the windows so at least the bugs could just fly in. The beach in front of the property is not a swimmable beach. The proprietors were very kind, but the bottom line here is that this place should not be rented out to anybody.

Thanks for taking your time to write the review. Sorry we couldn't please you but we pleased many before and are still pleasing many. Appliances are hand made and do not tell you when they will start to give trouble. There do not last for ever, that is how new ones in the stores are sold. We are right by the sea and appliances will go faster than the person in land. Had you said something to any worker on site it will be changed for you, if the door was too heavy for you to slide you would have gotten help also. Maintenance would have corrected it for you. The bars are for your security.At your age I do not see you jumping through one of those windows if it was a fire. God bless , be good and kind. If you ahd

Cheap and Cheerful
We enjoyed our stay at Round Rock, both before and after our cruise. The rooms were basic but clean. A few things needed repair, but weren't deal breakers for us. The biggest negative for this property is the location. If you are not a kite surfer, there really isn't a lot to do here. There are few restaurants or other amenities - you basically need to take a bus to Oistins if you want to buy anything. We were able to buy a few basics at the nearby convenience store, but not much else. Also, everyone in the area only takes cash, so we blew through ours pretty quickly. Other than that, the beach is a short walk and the property truly is an ocean view (just not a beach view). Both Ermenta and Michael were very pleasant to deal with. We would stay there again.

Ivy stay
Clean basic accommodation with nice waterfront view. Short walk to quaint bar/restaurant and beach. Ermenta was responsive to my inquiries and she arranged transportation from the airport to her place. Was just right for our overnight stay.

First of all its not paradise retreat its Round Rock Apartments, taxi guy had a hell of time to locate it Ph no. Because of that he has to change me more money ,rest was fine

Entretien quotidien
I would recommend the owner to have a double key for the rooms so they can come and clean the room daily. Because we can not find anyone in the morning before leaving for our activities . We could’nt give the key to anyone. I had to clean the floor my self for the week. They came once, the last day.

Hi . It was a pleasure having you. However we are sorry that your room was not clean but that is because we asked you to leave your key when you were going out but you never did until the last day. We do have another key but our policy is never to enter a guest room without consent, that's why we ask guest to leave the key for room attendant service. My apologies. Next time better arrangement will be made.
