Large Family Home, West Dorset, Jurassic Coast

Summary:
A large family home with 6 bedrooms; 4 doubles and 2 twin rooms sleeping up to 12 people. There's also the option to rent a separate 2 double bedroom holiday let next door, sleeping an additional 4 people. Dogs welcome. Set in 2 acres of gardens and fields with use of the tennis court. Near to the beautiful village of Beaminster, a local pub, endless countryside walks from the front door, the beaches along the stunning Jurassic Coast, Bridport with its street markets and Lyme Regis.

The Space:
The Old Sawmill is a large comfortable family home made with local stone in 1998 which we live in and enjoy when not rented. It is in a wonderful location, being on the edge of the popular and friendly village of Netherbury, close to Beaminster and Bridport with its interesting shops/pubs/restaurants and only 15 minutes to the beautiful Jurassic Coast beaches.

Inside:
The house has 6 bedrooms: 2 kingsize rooms, 2 double rooms and 2 twin bedrooms, which are all a good size. There are 2 bathrooms with baths/separate showers/loos and 1 shower room with a loo. There is a large kitchen/dining room (sitting 10), a very large sitting room which can either have a table tennis table set up or a further dining area which will seat 14 people and a games room with a fun pool table, darts board, additional TV. Both the sitting room and games room have cosy woodburning fires and a comfortable sitting area with smart TV's, Sky and the usual streaming channels. There is a downstairs loo and a utility room with washing machine/storage.

Activities:
There is a table tennis table in the sitting room, a games room with pool table and darts board and countless board/other games for you to enjoy. Outside there is an all weather 2 tone green tennis court with a basketball net, croquet, football on the lawn and endless walks straight from the front door. The stunning Jurassic Coast with swimming beaches and coastal walks are only a 15 minute drive away.

Outside:

The Old Sawmill sits within a large 5 acre garden with a beautiful lawn area, orchard, field and has an all weather tennis court for your use. There are often sheep in the field and other wildlife in the garden.

At the front of the house is a large lawn and patio with seating for 14 people.

At the back of the house is a large patio area with seating, a fire pit and a large gas/hybrid BBQ.

Alongside the property sits Howards Wood with extensive footpaths.

The house sits on the edge of Netherbury which is a very friendly and beautiful village.

There are views over the stunning rolling Dorset countryside from the property.

Parking:

There is ample private parking for cars at the front of the house and further parking further down the drive.

Guest Access:
Depending on whether you have booked Sawmill Cottage as well as The Old Sawmill house, you can use all the main house, garden, patios, tennis court and parking area.

However if there are other guests staying in Sawmill Cottage which is next door to the main house, you will not have access to the orchard garden which is there's to use or the 2 parking spaces just outside of Sawmill Cottage.

We will be using Vine Cottage and its garden/parking area. Friday check in only

If you need any help or support during your stay, I will be staying in Vine Cottage which is down the drive and will be available at any time. I will be available to show you around and will then leave you to enjoy your stay, unless you need anything.
