This hotel was below average. The room had mould on the windows and parts of the furniture were in need of repair. The "bathroom" was a very small shower room (no bath in sight!) and the shower head wouldn't stay up unless tipped right back. The room was also very hot, which would normally be good in November, except it was way too hot and the temperature control unit clearly didn't do anything. The curtains were a bit bizarre, and got stuck initially but eventually we got them shut. The staff weren't very welcoming, and we felt like a nuisance when asking for assistance with our keycard. Also, the hotel don't provide any period products which I know isn't necessarily standard practice in hotels, however, it really should be. Soap, shampoo and toilet paper were all provided, but the hotel didn't even have a spare sanitary towel at the front desk. The bed is also a bit uncomfortable (in my opinion, it's quite firm), and there's only one spare pillow.
However, the wifi is good, the location is really good (right near the train station, a Sainsburys and some food places) although a bit of a walk to the city centre, and tea and coffee, hair dryer and hangers were provided.
