Sanctuary in our chaos
My husband and I stayed in this idyllic Shephards hut whilst on a trip to look after our Grandchild during the day time . After running around after a 4 year old all day , it was a welcome sanctuary to come home to this beautiful dwelling with its lovely fairy lights and delightfully warm hot tub to recharge our worn out bodies for the next days shenanigans . Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer and have a few days for ourselves to explore the beautiful surroundings . We will definitely be back .

Excellent cosy farmhouse hut
It wasn't as private as advertised as you are on the edge of the owners property/driveway. Somethings advertised either didn't work or weren't supplied. Check in/out times are very early and late bearing in mind the nightly rate. However it is a very warm and comfortable hut but weather dependant as no outside cover which would have enabled us to sit outside in inclement weather.

beautiful shepherds hut with stunning views
Wonderful stay in Bye Mills Shepherds Hut, where everything was perfect. The owners made us feel very welcome. Lazing in the hot-tub was the ultimate in relaxation. Super comfortable bed for a great nights sleep. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Lovely and relaxing
Loved our short break, just what we needed, enjoyed the hot tub and barbecue on the fire pit. Only a couple of little things I would suggest, the stairs leading up to hut could do with rails as I have short legs and I tripped once while taking bags into the hut. Luckily only squished the bread in the bag. Otherwise very enjoyable, thanks. Terry and Angela.

Lovely weekend break
Had a wonderful 3 night stay in the Shepherds hut. Everything we needed was available. Very comfortable and cosy. Hot tub was to die for. Loved every minute of our stay.

Amazing Birthday Getaway
We have just come back from the most amazing couple nights away in this most amazing shepherds hut. Can not fault the hut or the facilities inside, all was amazing. Hot tub in the evening then in the hut to warm back up by a real fire 😍. Location was great for trips out to Bath and a lovely day in Cheddar Gorge. Anne was Brill and told us all we needed to know including a great place to eat 'the Druids' where we had the best stake n ale pie ever 😋. 💗

Peaceful weekend away !
We enjoyed our stay so much we didn’t want to leave, Anne is fantastic and is really helpful giving out all the information you need for your stay, there are some beautiful walks + stunning views. We would definitely recommend and would love to return again one day. :)

Best get a way to recharge!
Me and my partner booked the shepherds hut for his 30th birthday celebrations. (towards the end of September). It was such a charming location the host Anne, was very welcoming. We’re already looking to book again. There are loads of local pubs and walks detailed in the welcoming pack inside the hut. We also drove into Bath and visited the Roman Bath’s and on another day visited the Wild Life Project in Bristol. The sights are so beautiful, during the day you can even spot cows in the field opposite. We were lucky enough to be briefly visited by the host’s dog, who was very cute. We spent the evenings listening to the radio, while enjoying the fire pit covered in the moon light. It was so lovely having the hot tub at our doorstep and made even nicer being surrounded by fairy lights. Would definitely recommend. Can’t wait to come back. Emma & Brad

Our stay at Bye mills shepherd hut
We stayed at Bye Mills Farm in the shepherd hut for 4 nights and 5 days and wow, what a lovely time we had. The hut was more than well equipped for our time away and even if we ran out of anything, Anne is only a message away (which i would like to add was very quick to reply so that was excellent for communication). The hut feels so welcoming and cozy, and with the addition of the hot tub too it was lovely to just chill out. A bonus too if you want to go in the hot tub in the evening the surrounding hedges have fairy lights and lighting around that makes the outside look and feel very special. Would like to add too the bed and bedding in the hut was so comfortable and made chilling in the evenings even better. The views in the morning when waking up were incredible with seeing the mist roll over the hills and the livestock grazing around. We found that it was easily located with only around 30min drive (traffic dependant) from either centre of Bath or Bristol, it made ease for days out too. There are plenty of pubs local to bye mills which are only a short 5-10 min drive away, or if walking will be longer as some of the roads close by do not have pavements or walking room. Thank you so much for having us and I 100% recommend to anyone wanting to get away and relax as you do just that and the surroundings add to the feel too. Thank you Lewis and Chloe

Had a lovely 3 night stay an amazing location for a lovely relaxing break lots of nearby walks and just a short walk from local pubs. The hot tub was great to relax in after a walk . Anne was really helpful on arrival pointing us in direction of all local amenities, couldn't have asked for more.

Romantic bliss
Everything about the rental was great, from the regular communication with Anne the host, to the location itself and we were wowed by our shepherd's hut which was full of cuteness. We toasted marshmallows at night over our own fire fit and woke to amazing country views. Made for a fabulous romantic stay.

Perfect get away
What an amazing hidden gem this place is. I can’t rate the cabin and Ann, the host highly enough. On arrival Ann took time to show us around and explain how to use the hot tub and all the appliances, as well as give us an insight into everything to do in the surrounding villages. It’s such a beautiful cabin in a stunning location, surrounded by the rolling hills of Somerset and a stones throw from the river Chew you really feel like you’re in a world of your own. There is a lovely pub called the Rising Sun that serves a great roast dinner on a Sunday, although I would advise booking in advance. At night the cabin transforms into a magical peaceful bliss as fairy lights surround the garden, couple this with a fire in the fire pit and it is quite something. Away from any roads and the hustle of busy towns it is perfect for a nice relaxing get away for you and a partner. We will definitely be visiting again. Can’t thank Ann enough for being such a wonderful and welcoming host.

Amazing getaway
An amazing cabin with a hot tub and fire pit. We couldn’t of asked for anything better. It was a lovely peaceful place with fantastic views and some of the local pubs only 15-20 minutes walk away. Anne was fantastic and we was welcomed with everything we needed to know would definitely book again!!

Fantastic break at the Shepard's hut, location is beautiful and couldn't have asked for anything better for a relaxing short break. Anne couldn't have been more helpful and the property is top notch with everything you'd need.

Relaxation at its finest!
Had an amazing time at the hut, what a beautiful location with stunning views! The hut itself was very cosy and had everything we needed with some lovely touches added by Anne. The garden and hot tub area was a huge hit and we really enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit in the evening . Only a 10-15 minute walk to Pensford through the field/pathways to a friendly local pub. Would definitely recommend to family and friends!

Perfect, quiet getaway
Such a beautiful well kept cabin with an amazing hot tub and fire pit. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. It was such a peaceful break and just what we needed and hoped for. The views were stunning and we just loved the quietness of the place with only bird and sheep sounds. Anne was a great host and checked in with us to make sure we was settled and comfortable. Would highly recommend this place for a perfect, peaceful getaway.

Lovely property!!
We had an amazing time! The hut was clean and exactly as pictured. It was the perfect weekend get away and the hot tub just topped it off. Anne was so welcoming and really friendly. There are several lovely walks close by and with pubs on route. I would definitely recommend this property and will be telling my friends and family about it.

Gorgeous hut and location
Perfect spot and accommodation for our weekend away. Beautiful countryside, easy riverside walk to local pubs, plus the shepherds hut was gorgeous. Sitting in the hot tub enjoying the sounds of the birds and lambs was the icing on the cake. I just wish we had booked for longer

Great place, great host, would definitely stay again!
Had a fantastic stay in this lovely hut in December. Due to corona virus, Anne explained everything outside at a safe distance that we needed to know about the hut and hot tub. She was a very kind host and once explained left us to it until the end of our stay when she came to say goodbye. There is a nice local pub down the road where we went and the locals are so lovely and welcoming. It’s only a short drive to bath or Bristol which was perfect. The hot tub was lovely and a great highlight of our weekend! The log fire was great to keep you warm inside and the under floor heating is fantastic! Would definitely recommend and will be back again soon! Thanks Anne!

Absolutely stunning little cabin in the countryside. The cabin is stylish, warm and cosy!
Extremely easy and communication with Anne was excellent. She was lovely and was a contact free arrival (great given the current COVID-19 circumstances we all face) we will be staying again. There was nothing you couldn’t love about this property.

Amazing short break!
Our stay here was perfect! We booked at the end of lock down for our anniversary and wanted somewhere quite and special to get some quality us time after being separated for lock down. Ann provided a lovely hut which was clean and cosy and provided a full welcome package explaining everything within. Short distance from both Bristol city centre and Bath so can enjoy a day out and the hot tub was the perfect finishing touch to relax into in the evening.

What a beautiful place!
We had such an amazing time at the hut. When we arrived Anne was so welcoming and ready to answer any questions we had, which was not many after having a thorough explanation of everything. We were able to come and go as we pleased and just had a fantastic couple of days overall. Would highly recommend & would most definitely, and likely will, come back and stay again. Magical getaway cabin
My partner and I stayed here for the week and had the best experience! We were greeted by Anne from an appropriate social distance, she left her chickens eggs in the cabin for us. The space was clean and lovely decorated. We used the hot tub every night and would highly recommend!

Beautiful hut
We loved this place. The hut itself was immaculate and the views were unreal. We loved all the storage and the hot tub was great too. Lots of outdoor space and privacy. Walks around the area were very nice and cute pubs locally too. We really enjoyed relaxing here. The host was friendly and knowledgeable and the hut had literally everything we needed. We would definitely return. Highly recommend it.

What a fantastic little hut and location!
Lovely Shepard’s hut in a great location. Anne was really welcoming and gave us some great tips for the local area. Hot tub and fire pit were amazing and so nice to just sit with a glass or two of wine. Made friends with Tara the dog too! Don’t think they could do anything better!

An amazing getaway for me and my girlfriend, get the full countryside experience surrounded by farms. Not far from bristol or bath for days out and the hot tub in the evening was a great end to a day. Anne was very helpful recommended loads of places for food etc and she leaves you to your devices.
