But we were told that the pool pump was broken since several days and the front desk didn’t seem to care at all about it or that we were disappointed. Not so serviceminded. “I loved staying at this thoughtfully designed and maintained hotel. The pool was perfect on a hot July afternoon (it’s away from the road and surrounded by trees, so it feels very private). I appreciated the little details like a comfortable lodge with coffee bar and some treats waiting for me in my room when I checked in. The gentleman in the office was very helpful with restaurant recommendations too. I ate at the Copper Grouse which was excellent. I will definitely come back here next time...

“A beautiful stay with lovely hosts. We stayed in the family suite and had a living room in addition to two bedrooms. Our children refused to go out for dinner our first night because they loved the coziness of our rooms so much! Luckily, there are great takeaway options in Manchester, which is just a short ride. It rained during our two-night long stay, but Kevin helped us fill our day with great suggestions, helped with discounts, and ALSO wrote us a list for nice places to eat with kids in NYC...
