Capanna wines are wonderful and the only downside was that the fine dining restaurant which we visited before and looked forward to enjoying again was closed the two days we spent there. However Montalcino is a beautiful little place with many good restaurants and cozy atmosphere so there’s always other options. Will definitely come back!”

“It's difficult to navigate the narrow streets of Montalcino with a car, but the village is well worth it. The hotel is small and the staff very friendly. The view over the landscape from our room (towards the north-east) was breathtaking. No dinner, but a very good breakfast buffet with excellent coffee. The village is good for a few walks, but perhaps even better as a base for excursions; we took a day in Siena. Restaurants are better value than in the larger cities.”
