The hotel is very centrally located. You can refill water bottles in reception and leave luggage while you wait for your train. The rooms seem to have been recently refurbished. Receptionist was friendly.
But the amenities are very basic, even relative to the price. Another guest's left pair of jeans were still in the room when I checked in; you can only borrow a hairdryer when you need it and not keep it; the heating was not very effective and my room was at the end of a corridor of orange masking tape and corrugated plastic.
I think there is better value and comfort to be found in Brussels, even if you're a budget traveller.
