Really bad area!
The Hotel was really nice and clean, BUT, the area is supersketchy. A lot of junkies just outside the entrence, trash and bad smell wich led to the place not feeling safe. Unfortunatly that gives the hotel it low overall raiting, allthough the hotel and staff was lovely

Jättefint nyrenoverat hotell med vacker innergård och fin frukost! MEN, området och torget som hotellet ligger vid är fruktansvärt! Har inte känt mig så otrygg och utsatt på många år. Blev till och med efterföljd av en man hela vägen in i hotell som inte lydde personalen när de bad honom lämna entrén, först efter att de hotade att ringa polisen gick han därifrån. Så detta är tyvärr inte ett hotell att välja ifall du reser som ensam kvinna, och jag skriver tyvärr för hotellet i sig är fint. Vad gäller servicen är min uppfattning tudelad, fick ett mycket fint bemötande vid incheckningen, men när vi behövde beställa taxi verkade det vara ytterst besvärligt. Ena taxibeställningen glömdes helt bort av, och vid det andra tillfället både himlade receptionisten med ögonen och suckade högt.

Skulle inte rekommendera
Hotellet låg i ett område som inte kändes så tryggt. Mycket skräp på gatorna, många som bådde utomhus, rökte på osv. Hotellet luktade avlopp och unket. Personalen var ganska loj och ointresserad samt gav olika uppgifter beroende på vem du frågade. En sa att frukost för barnen kostade halva priset, en annan sa att det inte var så. Det ligger dock nära tågstationen och granska nära centrum.

This hotel was so convenient to walk to from the train stn, and to the Grand Place. The staff were friendly, and very helpful, and the room was clean, quiet, and roomy enough for 3 of us.

Great value for your money
Super friendly staff, felt really welcome during our visit. Some reviews complain about the location, and while I agree it's not in the prettiest part of Brussels, we never felt unsafe. Just have some common sense if it's late at night. It's really close to the Midi station as well as Lemonier station, and it's also quite within walking distance from the main square. For us, one of the greatest advantages is how close it is to Cantillon. Will definitely stay there again when we go back.

Good hotel & staff but bad location
Even the hotel itself was very nice and the staff very helpful, the price was high for a hotel located in a part of the city that did not feel nice or 100% safe. The other negative was that the hotel does not have a bar so when you get back to the hotel in the evening, there’s nothing to do and venturing out in the local area was a definite no-no.

房間不大但乾淨，可是隔音很差。
房間乾淨有兩種硬度的枕頭可選擇，洗澡跟洗頭是同一瓶沐浴用品，沒有牙刷與牙膏，周圍環境較偏僻沒有太多餐廳，房間大小不大但隔音很差，聽的到隔壁在廁所說話的聲音及進出或是打掃房間的聲音。

Our trip was canceled as the Eurostar train from London to Brussels was cancelled due to flood. However, when asked for a refund, they declined this even though this was not our fault. Expedia rep even reached out to the manager directly but our request was denied. This was really disappointing as we were really looking forward for this trip and the cancellation was something beyond our control. Very disappointed!

Very nice hotel and helpful staff, rooms are comfortable and well designed. The area, although well connected to public transport (gare du midi, métro and tram) is a typical train station type of neighbourhood (relatively dirty and potentially unsafe at night) with few dining options in the area.

Urban Yard is an excellent option for staying just outside of city center in Brussels! Air Conditioning worked great, very comfortable temperature and beds for sleeping. Also has a quiet patio area for enjoying coffee in the morning or beer in the evening. Staff is super friendly, they speak multiple languages to accomodate many cultures and nationalities.
