Such a dreamy escape
Loved everything about this petit hotel; the cool vintage furniture and pieces in the room and restaurant, the spaciousness of the room, the morning croissants, the area and the staff❤️!!. Dined at two amazing restaurants within walking distance; Ramazuri and Marischka. After a long weekend here the world truly feels like a better place.

Underbart litet boutique hotell på Budasidan. Fantastiskt rum, modernt, rent och fräscht. Hjälpsam personal ´, frukosten bestod av croissant, kaffe och juice. Bra område med många restauranger runt omkring.

Rent, fräscht och mycket trevligt!
Mycket fint, rent och fräscht litet boutique hotel vid gamla slottet på Budasidan av staden. Trevlig personal och riktigt fina rum. Vägg i vägg ligger deras restaurang (med i guide Michelin!)

Hotellet låg ganska nära Mattiaskyrkan, 500m, och hyfsat nära slottet. Trevligt hotell med bra mat och dryck. Bra sängar och lugnt. Du sover jättebra.

Great location and comfortable stay in the heart of the castle district of Budapest! Polite and friendly staff. The pastry breakfast included wasn’t great, after a week I never want to see a croissant again. Great for the first couple of days but very repedative

Loved the location! Great room, friendly staff. My only recommendation would be to have a 24 hour concierge rather than 7am- 7pm person to address all needs outside those hours.

Lovely Hotel 5min walk to Castle/Bastion
The Hotel room and service from the staff was top class. They arranged a transfer from the airport which was on time and prompt. The room was spacious, comfortable and well designed. Unfortunately due to Cvd issues and staffing the bar and rest was closed. Such a shame as it looks lovely and would have been very nice after a day sightseeing. Although assured it will be open fully sometime in May. However Pest Buda (sister hotel) down the road was open and was very nice. The free breakfast was a little underwhelming with only croissants juice and coffee offered. I’d have expected something more substantial. The Buda side to the city is a lot quieter than Pest. So take that into account with your preferences. 30min walk to Pest side. But I would highly recommend the hotel when fully open and functioning.

This hotel was amazing. The decor was so cute and charming. The room that we stayed in was absolutely beautiful. The high ceilings and furniture made it feel more like a home then a hotel. We loved the hospitality so much that we decided to book another night. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Plus the food at their restaurants was delicious. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out our desert with a firework 😁

Это маленький бутик отель . Рецепшн работает редко. На завтрак надо пройти метров 500 в другой отель-ресторан. В шкафу обнаружили чьи-то мужские трусы , забытые кем-то ))) останавливались на 2 дня , в номере у нас не разу не убрались . Завтрак 2 круассан и сок с чаем . Место расположение хорошее.

Design was great and food was really good. Staff was either nice or abrupt. Was only given 4 coffee pods for 4 nights and 2 adults. Had to pay after that. Seemed cheap and we booked the biggest room. Also, the shuttle is very expensive and we were dismissed quickly when we asked about it because it was not with 24 hour notice.

Expectations Exceeded
We had high expectations going into our stay at the Baltazár Budapest, and those expectations were exceeded right from check-in. From the spacious layout of the room to the exceptional service (and food) in the restaurant to the location near Buda Castle, this property is spectacular. The location was the best part; located on a quiet street about 5 minutes walk from Buda Castle, 10 minutes walk from the Metro, and walking distance to many restaurants. You will not regret a stay at the Baltazár Budapest.

We loved everything about this hotel! Only complaint is the strong smell whenever we used walk up/down the stairs to loft 12. Hope management will take care of it soon. Other than we loved the location, the staff - especially Daniel - super helpful and pleasant. Daily breakfast was great too! I would highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel w/ a great location on Buda side
We were spending only 1 night in Budapest and wanted to be on the Castle (Buda) side. This hotel's location was great --- just inside the main gate near the bridge. It's across from a beautiful historic church and square. The restaurant was very good -- regional and international dishes at reasonable prices. Very accommodating and friendly staff. We were very pleased with our choice of this hotel.

lovely hotel - a few small things left a bad taste
Amazing room in a great location if you’re keen on being on the Buda side of the river in the Castle District. Lovely space and well thought out Decor. Food in the restaurant is great. BUT... Cons for the hotel... some staff were great, others less so. Terribly frustrating and cheeky but if you sign for food in the restaurant to your room, they charge you in euros and give a terrible exchange rate - worst we saw (by at least 10%) in Budapest and no option given to pay in Forint. Not clear that ordering food to your room costs an extra 3,500fl but suppose expected. No price list for mini bar and exorbitantly priced. Small things and not material cost in grand scheme of things but huge irritation factor and terribly managed by staff when queried. Photos of the suite on hotels.com show a balcony but no balcony for the room so it’s misleading... not sure if hotel’s fault or hotel.com’ fault. If you’re paying a lot for a hotel, management should realise that the small things can really sway an experience. I can understand why this hotel gets away with a good rating because it is very well put together but 9+ out of ten is too much for me.
