“Centrally located in the Old Port, with views of the harbor, this was a last minute — therefore pricey — excellent find for a fall weekend getaway. Stylish, elegant rehab of 19th century granite industrial building. Whimsical decor notes referring to 19th century owner Evalina Fox. Nicely appointed kitchenette — though if you came to Portland for the foodie scene, you might end up just using it for breakfast, as we did. Only sour note was the disco music (coming in via the ventilation...

“It was so spacious, kitchen area was well kept and they have QR codes to help travels understand how to use certain things”

“Not very much parking and you have to schedule it in advance. Expedia didn't warn. It could be a disaster if you don't plan for it and rent a car.”

“room was very modern, however some areas did not look well cleaned (edge if the bed had some dried white liquid). the surrounding area has nice shops but is very sketchy at night. did not feel comfortable with the parking situation. also at 6am sounded like maintenance or cleaning crew was constantly in and out of the elevator making tons of noise. was good for a night but wouldnt stay again.”

“This was a super cute boutique inn and the location was ideal. The staff was super friendly!”

“Quick responses by staff! Comfortable bed! Gorgeous amenities! Loved the location was right down from Tandem Coffee!”

“Hotel staff gave me the wrong key to my room, and when I go back down to say I cannot open the door, they look at the key and say “someone gave you the wrong key” - no apology no nothing (not that it’s that serious, but it says something about the lack of customer service on a broad level). In addition, my wife went to the reception in workout clothes asking where the gym was located, whereby it was pointed out, she goes there and it’s closed??? So the staff doesn’t even know the gym opening...

“Spenderade 4 nätter, inkl min mans födelsedag på detta jättetrevliga och coola hotell i Portland. We loved it! Häftig inredning med presstema och citat på väggar, kort och i garderober! Jättesköna sängar och stort härligt badrum. God frukost och middag i hotellets restaurang Union. Rekommenderar The Press Hotell å det varmaste. Besök Portland, och missa inte heller den underbara restaurangen Fore på Fore Street. ”

“Very lovely boutique hotel in downtown Portland, Maine. Small rooms, and there is no storage, so you have to live out of your suitcase for a couple of days. And there is no table and only one chair so that’s a negative, if you want to work in your room or have room service, there’s nowhere to sit and eat. The walk-in range shower is great, bathroom is lovely, but the water pressure in the bathroom sink is terrible. But overall, a lovely hotel, if I stayed again, probably just for one night. They...

“Bra hotell och bra läge för att uppleva Portland”

“Clean hotel. We had a great stay in Residence Inn. Breakfast was top.”

“Was not aware of the $45 a day for parking the car. They said it was in the small print.”
