“My partner and I didn't quite know what ro expect from "luxury" accommodations in the jungles of Belize. Especially, as a gay couple, we can never be sure of the locals reception of us.
We booked the Luxury Villa room. It was spacious and spotless with a wonderful shower and a comfortable king-size bed. “Calico Jack's in a hidden gem in Belize! You really feel like you are in the jungle on their lush grounds. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and they clearly care about their guests. We loved the activities they offer, such as the zip lining only a 10 min walk from our room.
Be sure to stay for breakfast and order the Stuffed Fry Jacks, they were the best we had in Belize!

“Great service, they were always nice and helpful. Laundry service quick. Clean, spacious rooms and comfortable bed. Good location - basically right on the main street so close to everything. The breakfast was extremely light: bananas, bread to toast and butter/jam and then coffee/tea/water. But they had a microwave that could be used anytime and a refrigerator in the room (much appreciated). I liked my stay and would stay here again if I went back. ”

“Monkey Falls was set in a lovely location right in the jungle. It was quiet and relaxing. We were shown around Rod’s farm which was very interesting. The kitchen makes lovely home made food, including breakfast, which we ate every day. Tours can easily be booked from there and they will pick you up. It’s a short taxi ride from town. All in all a nice place to stay if you want to relax and you like jungle and wildlife.”
