“The place is beautiful and tucked into the woods. I recommend taking a screenshot of the instructions while you have cell service since it cuts in and out when you're that deep in the hills. You have wifi in the room which is great.

“This might be my new favorite place to stay!! It has been beautifully restored, employs friendly and helpful staff and provides the thickest bath towels ever!!! I appreciated the extra touches such as soft pillows in addition to the firm ones on the bed, a noise machine by the bed and a fridge, iron and ironing board in my room!! The bathing products in the shower were excellent and the complimentary breakfast buffet offered hearty, healthy and grab and go options. I look forward to staying...

“During the week I stayed at the hotel, I developed a skin irritation on my body. I believe it was caused by the bed sheets, which were contaminated with bacteria. I took an antihistamine, and by the following week, I had recovered; I moved to another hotel and did not experience this problem again! I have never had this issue happen to me before!”

“The Shady Lawn Inn is a wonderful place to stay. It's in the heart of Newland, NC, a small town with a cool vibe. Shady Lawn Inn was my home for 10 days because of car trouble. “This was a great and classy hotel. We loved the food from Wellington's restaurant as we ordered it using room service and everything was wonderful. Very spacious and the staff were friendly, courteous and supportive. For the price of a 1 night stay the value was great. I would definitely recommend this place and stay there again.
