The only reason we decided to stay here during our roadtrip was because of the large pool. During check-in the staff said that the pool area was free of charge for hotel guests, but the downstairs spa had a fee. Which is totally understandable.
However, the woman working the spa, and the pool boy/guard, tried to charge all the guests using the sunbeds by the pool a fee of 15euros per chair and day. We, and other guests, found it outrageous and...

“This is a lovely property connected to the Hotel Antico Vicenza. Spacious, clean, steps from the Pallazo, great shopping and restaurants. The staff at the hotel are just delightful and really go out of their way to be helpful. We were traveling with small children and the apartment was easily childproofed, building and courtyard safe and elevator modern and in working order.”

"Väldigt nöjd! Det var riktigt svalt. Gardinerna släppte inte varken ljuset eller värme in. Liten balkong för att möta soluppgång.
Ja, det ligger på utkanten av staden men det var nästan en plus. Tog en morgon promenad och såg staden vakna och cykla till sina jobb. En gammal gubbe cyklade och sjöng något! Hur mysigt som helst! Frukost var också bra. För att vara ärlig så gnisslade sängen men man ska inte glömma att hotellet ligger i en stad som hyllar kärlek!"

The room we were given had water leaking from the ceiling. Water was leaking from the ceiling as if it was raining in the room. The carpet was wet.... The room smelled really bad!

We talk to the tall young guy at the reception and explain that we need to change rooms. Get a quick answer, unfortunately we have no rooms. Then I say come up with another solution get an answer: we can't do anything and he turns his back. My husband tries to talk to him. We can't be in that room, we can't breathe we have a small child. Unfortunately we don't have any rooms he says and turns his back. He grins to the side with his colleague...
We talk to his colleague about the problem, then he comes and says in Italian never mind them. He cuts her off so we don't get help.
She says the same thing. We insist that we have the right to a new room. Then she becomes aggressive and screams I'm calling the police now. Okay, we're waiting for the police to come. They stand talking and looking at us and grinning. Had to wait 2 hours with our little daughter in her arms, grinning. No police came. So they threatened us. Okay we call the police ourselves ... all of a sudden I hear them say we found a room after they hear us call the police.
